N.C. State to Play Florida in Upcoming Basketball Seasons

N.C. State Coach Sidney Lowe agrees with a call in the first half.

N.C. State will play at Florida next season and the Gators will play in Raleigh in 2010, Wolfpack coach Sidney Lowe announced Wednesday.

“Even though we play in the toughest RPI conference in the country,
our goal is for our non-conference schedule to be challenging as
well,” Lowe said in a statement. “Facing the team that has won the last two
national titles will certainly fulfill that goal.”

NCSU will play at Florida on Jan. 3, 2009. The Gators will play in Raleigh on Jan. 3, 2010.

The Wolfpack also has upcoming games scheduled against the Arizona
Wildcats. State will play in Tucson in 2009-2010 season and the Pac-10
school will come to the RBC Center in the 2010-2011 season.

The basis for your argument concerning the Grant-Lowe situation proves my point exactly. What you know is what Coach Lowe wants the media to know. And, by the sound of your post, which drips with sarcasm, it sounds like you may be responsible for delivering the "spin" on this story. I just wanted to present another scenario to those who are bright enough to look past the obvious.

How can State expect to beat Florida when they can't beat UNC - and Florida has a better coach than UNC. But hey, makes for a more interesting game than playing Central or Albany.

Have you completely lost your mind? UNC has one of the best coachs in the country. Everyone knows it. May not admit it but we all know it to be true.

One thing that I WILL say about the situation with Lowe and Grant....I also have NEVER heard a coach throw is players under the bus as Lowe did this past year either. Grant may have been out of line, but so was Lowe....he CAN'T coach! It was painfully appearant this past year, and I completely expect a dead last place finish in the ACC next year too. Check out Rivals.com and look at the historic recruiting and next years recruits for all the ACC teams.....it paints a VERY accurate and ugly picture!
