Jeff Gordon is the pole for Sunday's Goody's Cool Orange 500 in Martinsville, Va., with Denny Hamlin qualifying second.
The others in the top 10 were Aric Almirola, David Ragan, Jamie McMurray, Kasey Kahne, Ken Schrader, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. qualified 22nd.
