Jun 15, 2008
Raleigh, N.C. – N.C. State center J.J. Hickson has signed with an agent and will remain in the 2008 NBA Draft.
The NBA Draft will be held June 26.
“Getting to the NBA has always been a dream of mine,” said Hickson. “I want to thank Coach Lowe and everybody associated with N.C. State for all that they have done for me.”
“After going through several workouts with NBA teams, J.J. received very positive feedback and feels this is a great opportunity for him to be drafted,” said N.C. State head coach Sidney Lowe. “He had a great season with us last year, and he will always be a part of our Wolfpack family. We are very happy for him and his family.”
Hickson was an unanimous selection to the ACC All-Freshman team and honorable mention All ACC in his only season at N.C. State. Hickson led the Pack in scoring (14.8 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg) and blocked shots (1.52 bpg).

LOL. Looks like I pulled some chains which I what I intended. Hansborough is definitely a better college player than JJ and for all I know may be a better pro. I was just trying to be funny by stating the obvious. JJ will get drafted before Tyler b/c he's getting drafted this year, not next!
Good luck JJ. Meanwhile I hope NCSU is working on the 4 corners offense again.
Prediction: JJ will get drafted ahead of Hansborough.
