COLUMBIA, S.C. - It’s hot, humid – and bumper-to-bumper traffic as tonight’s N.C. State at South Carolina football approaches.

Already in Columbia are The Insiders from 99.9 FM The Fan, who are broadcasting their afternoon show from the stadium.

Also on the scene are WRAL reporters Jeff Gravley, Ken Medlin and Josh Hailey.

“This is definitely a game-day atmosphere different than anything we have in our area,” Medlin said. “There were already people at the stadium when we got here. And we were in bumper-to-bumper traffic at 3 o’clock.”

One vehicle stuck in that traffic was the WRAL satellite truck. That satellite truck was scheduled to get Medlin and Mike Maniscalco live on the web at 4:30 p.m.

With the satellite truck stuck in traffic … well, just call it the first loss of the season.

More coverage is coming tonight. Gravley will be filing live reports for television in the news shows and Maniscalco will do a live blog on WRAL.com during the game.

Afterward, WRAL.com will post complete game results, and Gravley and Mark Thomas will do a special web breakdown of the contest that will be posted after the game.

How do you figure this game will be a rout? Its South Carolina that State is playing, Not UGA, UF, or LSU? We're talking about a South Carolina team that dropped five in a row last year. Regardless of the fact of who their coach is, South Carolina is the biggest choke artist in the SEC. With that said, Go Pack...Beat Carolina!

Up here we are getting together tonite to bbq some chickens, drink some beer and watch the chicken/kickin on the TV. And if we win we will have fun and if we lose we will have fun. Makes no diff. And tommorrow we may be hung over and 0-1 in football, but at least we won't be South Carolinians!
