Russell Wilson, who suffered a Grade 3 concussion in N.C. State's first game against South Carolina, will start for the Pack against Clemson next week, head coach Tom O'Brien announced after the Wolfpack's win over William & Mary.
According to O'Brien, Wilson was cleared by doctors to play against the Tribe, but the second-year head coach chose to sit him for the game anyway.
Harrison Beck, the star for State in their home-opener, will back Wilson up.
Beck went 17-of-25 for 246 yards and a pair of touchdown passes after replacing an ineffective Daniel Evans during the team's 34-24 win.
