North Carolina's Aquilla Mateen and Kendra Lynch were both named to the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Tournament Team, the ACC announced after Saturday's championship game.

UNC defeated NC State handily on Thursday with an 8-4 score to advance to Friday's semifinals, where the Tar Heels were defeated by ACC regular season and tournament champion Florida State. The top-seeded Seminoles defeated No. 2 seed Notre Dame 3-1 on Saturday.

Mateen, a sophomore outfielder, recorded a .667 batting average in the tournament with four hits, one run and two stolen bases while making several key plays in center field. Lynch, a freshman outfielder and pitcher, helped the Tar Heels in both positions as well as at the plate this week. She posted a .600 average with three hits, one run and four RBIs, including her second grand slam of the season in Thursday's game vs. NC State. Lynch also pitched 2.2 innings for a 7.88 ERA, surrenduring four hits and three runs while retiring two batters.
