Harrison, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Red Bull New York announced Tuesday that club has acquired striker Saer Sene from the New England Revolution in exchange for Andre Akpan and allocation money.

"Saer, who can play wide or up front, will add a different dimension and another option to our attack," said Red Bulls Sporting Director Andy Roxburgh. "We're excited to bring him aboard and at the same time, we wish Andre all the best with his new club."

Sene spent his first three seasons in MLS with New England, scoring 17 career goals while adding eight assists. In 2012, his first season with the club, Sene led the Revs in scoring with 11 goals.

Prior to joining MLS, Sene spent eight seasons between France and Germany playing for Paris Saint Germain B, FC Etampes, SG Schorndorf, SG Sonnenhof Grossaspach and Bayern Munich II.
