MLS Game Summary - Kansas City at New England

(Saturday, April 26, 2014)

From The Sports Network

Final Score: New England 2, Kansas City 0

Foxborough, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New England Revolution left it late at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, scoring twice in second-half stoppage time to get a 2-0 win over 10-man Sporting Kansas City.

There was little in the way of action until Aurelien Collin was sent off for a rash challenge in the 74th minute.

It looked as though the Revs would squander their one-man advantage, but Teal Bunbury managed to secure three points against his former side when he turned in a deflected cross in the second minute of added time.

Lee Nguyen made sure of the win shortly after, converting a penalty kick that resulted from a hand ball in the box by Oriol Rosell for his team-leading third goal of the campaign.

New England (3-3-2) is unbeaten in its last three matches, climbing to 11 points on the season to go level with Sporting (3-2-2).
