From The Sports Network

Final Score: Kansas City 3, Montreal 0

Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Dom Dwyer bagged a brace at the Stade Saputo on Saturday to lead Sporting Kansas City to a 3-0 win over the 10-man Montreal Impact.

The hosts were short-handed from the 17th minute on as Collen Warner was sent off for handling the ball along the goal line. Sporting was awarded a penalty for the infraction, which Dwyer buried for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.

Kansas City doubled its advantage in the 34th minute when Chance Myers played a square ball into the box that made its way through traffic to fall at the feet of Pablo Nagamura, who slotted a first-time shot back across goal and just inside the far post.

Dwyer tacked on Sporting's third of the match in the 64th minute, collecting Antonio Dovale's pass to split the Montreal defense and fire a shot past Troy Perkins against the grain.

Sporting (5-2-2) climbs to 17 points on the season to maintain its spot atop the Eastern Conference while Montreal (1-5-3) stays in the cellar with just six points.
