Sulaimon, Harris earn ACC weekly honors

Greensboro, N.C. — Duke freshman Rasheed Sulaimon averaged 22 points and four rebounds per game in a pair of Duke wins last week and was rewarded Monday with the ACC Rookie of the Week honor.
Sulaimon scored a career-high 27 points in a win over Boston College Sunday chipping in three rebounds and three assists. It was his second 25-plus point performance of the season and the freshman from Houston has scored in double figures 19 times.
Sulaimon, who earned the award for the second time, started the week with a 17-point performance against Virginia Tech. He is the second-leading freshman scorer in the ACC at 12.4 points per game.
Wake Forest’s C.J. Harris was named the ACC Player of the Week after he scored 23 points in the Demon Deacons’ upset of then-No. 2 Miami. Harris, a Winston-Salem native, has scored in double digits 10 consecutive games.
