A pair of NFL players with Triangle ties had significantly different nights Sunday in Super Bowl XLIV.
Jeff Saturday, who played at North Carolina, started at center for the Indianapolis Colts and had a typically stellar game. Saturday, who has played with Peyton Manning for years, was part of a Colts offensive line that didn't allow a single sack Sunday night in Miami.
Saturday had a savvy game, often pushing Saints players out of the way to open holes for Colts backs or digging in against a Saints pass-rusher.
Meanwhile, former N.C. State defensive lineman DeMario Pressley didn't start and was the only Saint on the active roster not to play in the game. He was listed as the backup at nose tackle going into the game.
But Pressley was the one who finished on a much happier note as New Orleans prevailed, 31-17.
