Sutter recalled as LaRose to be evaluated for concussion

Raleigh, N.C. — Brett Sutter was recalled from Charlotte Sunday and will join the Carolina Hurricanes for their game against the Florida Panthers.
Sutter’s recall is due to an injury sustained by Chad LaRose Saturday night in a 6-2 Hurricanes win. LaRose remained in Raleigh following the win over the Panthers to be further evaluated for concussion-like symptoms.

Sutter, 25, ranks fourth among Checkers skaters in scoring this season with 33 points (13g, 20a) in 52 games. Sutter, in his second season as the Checkers’ captain, has yet to skate in an NHL game this season has one goal and four assists in 34 career NHL games with Calgary and Carolina.
LaRose has recorded three points in 19 games this season.
Carolina appeared to be getting past the injury bug this week with the return of four regulars. including Jeff Skinner. Joni Pitkanen, one of those that recently returned, left Saturday's game with a lower body injury and did not return. His status for Sunday is still uncertain..
Following Sunday’s game, the team will return to Raleigh and will open a three-game home stand on Tuesday against Buffalo.
