T&F: Colley earns third career berth to NCAA's

Jacksonville, Fla. — Redshirt senior All-American Andrew Colley ran a time of 14:14.34 in the men's 5,000m at the NCAA East Regional on Saturday night to finish in 10th place and qualify for the NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships.
Colley, who earned All-American honors in the 5,000m last year, will be making his third trip the championship event. He joins sophomore Jonathan Addison and redshirt sophomore Sequoia Watkins as the third member of the Wolfpack track and field team who will vie for the top prize in Eugene, Ore. on June 11-14.
In the other events on the day, redshirt junior Tremanisha Taylor registered a 17th place result in the women's shot put with a heave of 52'06.50" (16.01m), while redshirt sophomore Graham Crawford, competing in the men's 1,500m, garnered a 17th-place finish as well with a time of 3:46.77. Crawford, who also took in the men's 5,000m, finished 27th in that event with a run of 14:36.88.
Addison, who qualified for the NCAA Championships in the long jump, finished 19th in the high jump with a leap of 6'10.75" (2.10m), while senior Ryanna Henderson also took 19th in the women's 800m with a result of 4:25.00.
Two-time All-American senior Nathaniel Williams closed out his NC State career by finishing in 22nd place in the men's discus with a throw of 178'4" (54.37m), while junior Joanna Thompson (16:38.19) and freshman Erika Kemp (17:08.65) finished in 28th and 42nd place, respectively, in the women's 5,000m.
