— Tremanisha Taylor set a new NC State school record in the outdoor shot put on the second and final day of the Tiger Track Classic hosted by Auburn University.

Taylor's throw of 55'03.00" (16.85) broke her previous school record mark of 55'01.25" (16.33m) set in 2012. Taylor has now set an outdoor school record in back-to-back weeks, establishing a new mark in the discus last week at the Raleigh Relays to compliment her outdoor shot put record set today. Taylor also holds the NC State school record in the indoor shot put, set earlier this year.

In addition to her school record throw in the shot put, Taylor finished in first place in the discus on Saturday with a mark of 172'10" (52.67m), while Nicole Chavis garnered a third place result in the event with a distance of 154'06" (47.09m).
