One out of two aint bad - South Carolina is a national football power.
May 9, 2013
Chapel Hill, N.C. — The North Carolina Tar Heels will open the 2015 football season with a matchup against South Carolina in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium, the school announced on its official website Thursday.
The game, which will take place on Sept. 5, was secured by the Charlotte Sports Foundation.
“We are extremely excited to bring these national football powers and regional rivals together in Charlotte for college football,” Will Webb, executive director of the Charlotte Sports Foundation, said in a statement. “This will be a tremendous game featuring a marquee matchup of ACC and SEC teams.”
The Tar Heels have played 22 football games all-time in Charlotte and have compiled a 15-5-2 record. UNC's last regular season games in the Queen City came in 1998 and 1999 when the Tar Heels downed North Carolina State in consecutive years.
North Carolina has 34-17-4 record against the Gamecocks in 55 meetings, but the two Carolinas have met just 11 times since South Carolina left the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1971.
The Tar Heels open the 2013 regular season with a trip to Columbia to face the Gamecocks on Aug. 29.
The Charlotte Sports Foundation runs the Belk Bowl, which is played annually in Charlotte.

i think State and Duke already did this....just an FYI
Duke not only played Bama. But they also didn't move the game. They gave up the extra revenue they could have taken to move the game to the GA Dome.
I hope Spurrier gets another team photo in front of the score board. LOL!!- Posted by jonesrt5
