Posted December 11, 2012

— Redshirt freshman safety Chris Tavarez is no longer a member of the Duke football program, head coach David Cutcliffe announced on Tuesday.

“After meeting with Chris, it was determined that it is in everyone’s best interest for him to depart our program, effective immediately,” Cutcliffe said.

I am not sure which career is more likely to add to his anonymity. I also saw that he portrayed a football player on a Tyler perry show. Portraying a football player by someone on the Dook football team shows his acting skills, though.

A far better decision for him than pursuing a football career.

wral posts this three days late. plus they didn't even get the most recent article that explains why he's no longer on the team (because he's trying to pursue acting and football so Cut told him to leave Duke football altogether).
