N.C. — Before the Carolina Hurricanes’ home opener Tuesday night, 99.9 HD3 The Ticket will broadcast 24 consecutive hours of classic Carolina Hurricanes games.
The presentation starts at 6 p.m. Monday and will include:
- Game One of the 2002 Stanley Cup Finals against Detroit
- Game Seven of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals against Edmonton
- Game Seven of the 2009 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against New Jersey and
- Game Seven of the 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinals against Boston
After the marathon, Mike Maniscalco takes to the air waves on sister station WCMC-FM 99.9 The Fan to host “The Kangaroo Express Storm Front” pregame show before the Canes’ home opener against The Tampa Bay Lightning.

I wish the players would come together closer and throw out the owners.
I just cannot get back into watching Hockey ever again with those slimy, greedy owners.

Chuck does make it more exciting. Hats off to anyone with a mind quick enough to do play-by-play, give stats, etc on a live feed...it's a marvel to me.

24 hours of hearing one of the greats call a game, Chuck Kaiton! Great moments in team history have nothing to do with the current situation. I can think back to hearing his voice on a couple of those calls, and it is simply awesome!

So they are going to award the owners and players for losing half a season. Seems only the selfish and deceiving get ahead. I will not listen to one second of it on radio or tv
