— Before the Carolina Hurricanes’ home opener Tuesday night, 99.9 HD3 The Ticket will broadcast 24 consecutive hours of classic Carolina Hurricanes games.

The presentation starts at 6 p.m. Monday and will include:

  • Game One of the 2002 Stanley Cup Finals against Detroit
  • Game Seven of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals against Edmonton
  • Game Seven of the 2009 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against New Jersey and
  • Game Seven of the 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinals against Boston

Fans without HD radios can hear the “24 Hours of Carolina Hurricanes” presentation online at www.WRALSportsFan.com or via the WRALSportsFan app on iOS or Android mobile devices.

I wish the players would come together closer and throw out the owners.

I just cannot get back into watching Hockey ever again with those slimy, greedy owners.

Chuck does make it more exciting. Hats off to anyone with a mind quick enough to do play-by-play, give stats, etc on a live feed...it's a marvel to me.

24 hours of hearing one of the greats call a game, Chuck Kaiton! Great moments in team history have nothing to do with the current situation. I can think back to hearing his voice on a couple of those calls, and it is simply awesome!

So they are going to award the owners and players for losing half a season. Seems only the selfish and deceiving get ahead. I will not listen to one second of it on radio or tv

    This is a decent idea:

I recently bought a car that enables me to get 99.9 HD3, and I continue to be amazed by what is broadcasted on 99.9(1, 2 and 3)!

    An idea:

Why don't you broadcast all ESPN radio(Mike & Mike, all of the HERD, SVP and Rusillo, etc) on 99.9

Put all the local guys on HD2(Mike and Mark, David Glenn, etc)

HD3 for Rome and "other sports programming"

Mix the Buzz into HD2 or 3 as necessary

That will allow you to be true ESPN Radio
