Go over to SFN. State fans blaming refs. Shocking huh?

  • hisbiueheaven Feb 16, 2014

tough loss for the wolfpack but being a tar heel fan i love to see pack fans hurting, and they continue to hurt with the whipping unc women put on them today at reynolds!

If you completely sure that these games are officiated impartially and that money doesn't influence the games - you're delusional. Schools and conferences stand win or lose millions with a win or loss. Money in the billions makes the whole NCAA system work. In a close game a call here or there means all the difference. Did it happen here? I don't know, but you have to at least consider the possibility given the money.

You really think so? State has a decent record in the ACC and there's still games to be played, and the ACCT. I don't know if the Committee would take into consideration how tough State played Syracuse, but I still think State is NCAAT-bound.

Ahhhhhhh...the pain of NCST fans is like nectar.

  • JPack Feb 16, 2014

Funny stuff. Man was I heart broken. So close. If we could've just held on to the ball, we would be thinking about the NCAAT. As it is, NIT here we come.

"Sir", if you have some "evidence" that "Barber" doesn't belong in "school", please "show" it. If Barber used the word "fought", at least he was using a word. Your word, "faught", is not in my "dictionary".

  • Robert Rudisill Feb 16, 2014

Thanks, wral. The tweets made me laugh. Helps with the pain from the loss.

But but but ... UNC players cannot read, UNC players are cheating academics. Where is Mary Willingham with another flawed "study"? Where is the N&O to investigate whose "faught" it is that 'Cat' Barber cannot spell "fault"?

They showed a replay (I think) as soon as it happened, and while it could have been a no call, it did look like a goal tend. Tough, tough way to end the game. Of course the State player would try to defend that last basket, and by doing so, it ended up being a goal tend. State played a terrific game. They played the #1 team in the country, on the road, in a dome nonetheless, and looked like the better team for much of the game.
