The current violations at NCSU vs. unCHEAT (University of Nobody Cares) are not even in the same ballpark as far as the intensity or scale!! All unCHEAT bandwagon fans don't even try and compare. Nope won't work!!

What does UNC...........or any player either current or former......has to do with the fact NCHEATSU was caught cheating? Please explain that.

    Take your time.

Wow, for somebody with an UNC avatar, so I guess you might have went to UNC, my question, is being able to read a requirement for getting into UNC?. Evidently not. Article states that the NCAA is investigating the incidents. At least State did notify the NCAA of the infractions unlike another school that covered up theirs. Leslie's violations were minor and apperantly over with. Smith on the other hand could be major violations because of the amount of the benefits. Also, if I were you I would not want the NCAA to try and tie it into the football program. Neither Leslie nor Smith were part of the football program, however Greg Little of UNC's football team was also a member of UNC's basketball team. So if the NCAA starts tying in one program with another, that could be bad news for UNC's basketball program. Little has already admitted to the violations and that might be what is taking the NCAA so long to complete their investigation. By rule the NCAA could hand down the same punishment to the basketball team as to the football team for Little's violations.

If all the infractions were so minor as you claim and you do not seem to think there are any implications coming why not just keep Leak. No need to ban him from the facilities. After all it's only a borrowed car ? Ha Ha Ha

not too shabby... amazing how bad a coach Lowe was... nice guy but not a coach...

  • shakennotstirred Nov 30, 2011

I see the bandwagon bus has stopped on stupid street. I'm sure if unc's chancellor had his way, he'd also fire the person responsible for allowing walmart to sell unc merchandise to such ignorant people. Read the articles again and have a state fan explain it to you like they did to your honor court and professors. When the NCAA finds that states coaches/professors/cops/honor court/department chairs etc. are all cheaters and liars, then you can speak of the 2 programs being alike. When the fans/players/tutors/boosters etc. are all lawyered up and suing each other and the school, then you can speak of the 2 programs being alike. When state gets rid of half their starters/asst. coach/head coach/popo's/athletic director/ dept. chair
etc. then you can speak of the programs being alike. But hey, if you think a borrowed car is as bad as the most major violations ever in the history of the NCAA at 1 time, then their is no reasoning with you... Deflections and denials in 3...2...1...

DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT NC STATE HAS BEEN CAUGHT CHEATING??!! AFTER ALL THE BS THAT STATE FANS HAVE GIVEN UNC, ALL I CAN SAY IS WHAT I SAID LAST SUMMER: WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND! BUT, SINCE IT IS NEAR CHRISTMAS, I THINK THE BEST GIFT FOR STATE FANS WILL BE A DOSE OF HUMILITY, A DASH OF "I TOLD YOU SO", AND SOME GREASE FOR REMOVING THE SHOE FROM EITHER THEIR ENTRY OR EXIT HOLES.

Does this story or the previous stories in any way insinuate that anyone from State cheated. Nope, borrowed a car and sat three games for it. Nothing about tutors doing their work for them like the no-football-playing Smurfs at Cheater Hill.

Uh - the shoe is not on the other foot. This is a minor infraction, handled quickly, transparently, and meaningfully by the university.

UNC-CHeat is involved in more infractions than anyone in NCAA football history, and they have constantly stonewalled and tried to hide from the press.

    BIG DIFFERENCE.

  • mxteam44 Nov 30, 2011

I won't slam on the Pack fans for this, but it sure is funny how different the comments are now that the shoe is on the other foot!

I would agree with you EE, but they never had any. Cheated and still couldn't win.

  • Objective Scientist Nov 30, 2011

With both this at NCSU and the recent events at UNC - as well as, I'm certain, similar situations at other Universities across the country - collegiate athletic programs, particularly in football and basketball, need to be VERY careful and reconsider the common policy that "allows" - even encourages - former players to "come back", use the facilities, and "hang out" with the current players. For many former players this practice may and does "no harm / creates no problem"... but obviously for some this policy and practice is fraught with at least the potential for "trouble"!!! However, what is to prevent current players from "hanging out" with former ones "just off campus" - or wherever? Clearly not much can be done about that and if former and current players... including former players who are now "runners" or even "agents" seek to have contact with current players - not much the University can do about that. The one thing that can be done - make it very clear - unequivocal in absolute terms - to current players that such contact can result in "big time" trouble for the University, the football/basketball program, and for themselves... for themselves, if they engage in such activity - THEY LOSE THEIR SCHOLARSHIP and THEIR TEAM MEMBERSHIP! Write it into the scholarship agreement they sign! Sure... coaches need to be held accountable for many things, but the players bear responsibility as well!

It is early season. I wouldn't bet on NCSU winning 15 games. Expecting an Indiana blowout tonight. Also I foresee a loss to Stanford coming up. Looking down the way I see another loss to the Syracuse Orangemen.

It's possible that State will win 14 games this year. We all know they wont be competitive in the ACC.

State made a wise move to not allow Leak to enter the campus, football staduim, basketball, nor any other event for 10 years. Good news. That's the way it should be done at all schools.

  • cwood3 Nov 30, 2011

Unlike the University that thinks their stuff does not stink(UNC), State was in the open and will stay in the open. Debbie Yow will not cheat-end of story!!

If all of you cheaters from Chapel Hill want to do is stir trouble, go back to Chapel Hill. Their is plenty of trouble still not aired there for you to stir up.

  • Dubble EE Nov 30, 2011

    Whatever.....

The WulfPecker coaches knew what was going on. And the AD. And who knows how many more....

Maybe that's why Sid was 'let go'. Had nothing to do with win & loses. His players were getting paid!

The coaches should be fired.....'oh wait....nevermind'.........and there should be an investigation. Period...point...blank. I wonder how much of this bleeds over to the football program. We need to start turning stones over there and see what's up.

If the NCAA doesn't look further then it's an obvious coverup going on in Raleigh.

  • shakennotstirred Nov 30, 2011

Good job NC State in being proactive. Unlike the thuuug school down the road who covered everything up for 4 years even after the NCAA notified them of wrongdoing. Posts from unc bandwagon fans... are you serious? Ya'll are like Oprah saying that Steve jobs was fat... find an article where you have some credibility, like African Studies and college degrees, wait... oh nevermind...

  • cussmikemeout Nov 30, 2011
