HEY State not on TV, havent made to the big time yet, eating at the kids table ESPN3.

  • 1969inyourface Nov 9, 2012

Uhhh, I dont think the trangle hoops race will begin until January. Just sayin.

  • StunGunn Nov 9, 2012

I'm ready for the games to begin! I think the ranking of State, Duke, Carolina ia about right, but let's see where we are in February and March. Go Heels!

Hey bozo...not ALL unc fans have that ego! Just remember for future reference when state takes those steps you just might have reason to cheer like the Heels have in recent years.

  • baldchip Nov 9, 2012

Tar Heels are always full of ego-just ask their fans. The whine and cheese crowd at the Smith Center never think their stuff stinks!!

State fans have been made humble by years of being down!! However, we have kept the faith.

    GO PACK!!

  • eaglewolf Nov 9, 2012

. . . or also have high expectations from their respective fanbases? Seriously, whatever.

State and Duke won't be "full of ego"? Mmmkay.

This is going to be a great season of Basketball in the Triangle. If Wake Forest can get several good recruiting classes we may just have ourselves another Big 4 Tournament. At least I can wish it!

    GO HEELS!!

  • SpartanDude Nov 9, 2012

I'm looking forward to this year's ACC vs B1G matchups. Indiana vs UNC, Michigan hosting NCState, Duke vs Ohio State, FSU vs Minnesota, Wisconsin vs UVA, Michigan State @ Miami (Go Green! Go White!) these are all games with a currently ranked team. Pretty freakin awesome if they all stay ranked by the time they tip off!

  • VT1994Hokie Nov 9, 2012

Looking forward to seeing some great teams play this year. My team won't be all that much, but these 3 teams in the Triangle will be fun to watch.

  • baldchip Nov 9, 2012

JRch-State will be faster, stronger, and hungrier than we may have seen since 1983. Duke may have even more issues with injuries. And Carolina-will be quick, full of ego, and have little experience at point guard-and very high expectations from their fan base!!

State fans got a taste last year-and it was good!!!

    GO PACK!!

  • jrt0856 Nov 9, 2012

I dont think anybody a dominating post player this year. plumlee good, but not dominating. College basketball starts with the backcourt and defense. I am still trying to figure out why State is to be so much better than Carolina or Duke.

  • ghhelms78 Nov 9, 2012

All 3 schools have excellent talent, and as Jeff said in his write-p, defense will be the difference come February and March. Coach G has done a great job at NCSU with installing some much needed focus and discipline. Coach W keeps rollong along with great athletes and his up-tempo style, but they may be undermanned in the post. Coach K will have the team work harder on rebounding and defense, which last year was not up to the Duke level of work ethic last year. It should be exciting, as always in NC. While the football programs have been fair, the basketball around here is on a higher level. Can't wait!!

  • baldchip Nov 9, 2012

This could be the beginning of an extremely exciting year in ACC Hoops-Triangle style. NC State has been down for years, which is why last years great finish was so exciting. Duke and UNC have been near the top for numbers of years-so that has become the expectation and norm!!

So what will happen?? Let's find out.

    Let the games begin.

    More will follow!
