    Hope he is back.

  • Toddler10-21 Nov 27, 2012

Wish the kid the best. The Ryan Harrow thing is more than Ryan being sick. I had a chance to talk to him when he decided on UK. Told him that CAL would be on him hard. Just suck it up and play hard. Sure enough. Cal called him out on ESPN All Access. Told him he lacked heart, and wasnt tough enough to be his point guard. Now Mays is the starter, and no Harrow sighting since.

  • Elem-Teach Nov 26, 2012

NCguy said--did anyone else see that Ryan harrow quit kentucky.

I saw where he returned to practice yesterday!!

I didn't know his dad had cancer, I wish him well and I hope and pray his dad gets the best treatment available and beats his cancer.

  • StunGunn Nov 26, 2012

Wishing deThaey and his Dad all the best. deThaey has to do what's best for him and his family, and he's doing just that by going home.

Oh yeah, huge loss for the Pack. How can they replace a superstar like him. And to even mention TOB's firing in a bb story, congrats, you win for the most idio*tc post of the week so far.

We all wish the best for him and his dad. It's got to be hard leaving home and living in another culture.

  • Got Peart Nov 26, 2012

Losing TDT hurts. If for nothing else, he could come in and spell for a few minutes.

I hate it for him. He's in a new country, and obvioiusly struggling to adapt. The guy's work ethic is ridiculous. He is a gym rat - he's always talking about getting his shots up. But for whatever reason it wasn't working for him here.

His dad was diagnosed with Cancer in the spring, and he went back homne for a time during after spring semester. That is a big part of this, but also too, he's been unhappy with regards to playkng time. So there are a number of things leading to his decision.

I appreciate his efforts, and I hope things work out for him and his dad.

We will miss #13 this year!

  • firebirdbaseballer09 Nov 26, 2012

Some of you people really need to evaluate your purpose in life. The guys dad has cancer and he wants to be with him and you guys are cracking jokes about him leaving and making up stuff. Get a life!!

  • easystreet Nov 26, 2012

Come on guys.....wish him well and let him go. He will be the better man for it.

Oh no - not TJ Warren! He's already better than anyone on UNC's roster. He has size to play with most ACC PFs, and enough speed to burn them.

Losing de Thaey will hurt us as far as giving our better players a couple more minutes of breathing time per game. I wish him all the best, and hope his father is well, but he wasn't a productive player and we really won't miss him that much. It would be kind of like if UNC lost Dexter Strickland - they'd never even notice he was gone. Actually, that's not true, given Dexter's intolerably obnoxious personality. I suppose it is more accurate to say they wouldn't miss his negligible contributions on the court.

  • GoHeels1969 Nov 26, 2012

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems the Carolina fans have been wishing him well with the State fans were the ones making jokes about his 27-foot 3-point attempts and lack of playing time. ???

  • royunc Nov 26, 2012

I am not a troll. Where does it say you can't comment if you are a UNC fan. Fact is you worried so much about UNC in the off season. You just knew your football team had arrived and the basketball program was on the edge. I guess Debbie Yow will be looking for a new Men's coach, when he fails to live up to expectations this year.

  • lec02572 Nov 26, 2012

  • BlueDevils00 Nov 26, 2012

Wow... an already paper thin NC State frontcourt takes a HUGE blow. With CJL and Howell constantly in foul trouble, Vandenburg will have to log big time minutes. Also, Gottfried might turn to freshman TJ Warren to play some PF.
