I don't think anyone is giving Carolina a chance tonight and that may be true. Duke is playing very well and Carolina doesn't match up well against them. BUT, if you've watched this rivalry over the years, upsets do happen. Please Roy-use a daggum time-out if Duke starts pulling away early.
    Go Heels!

Too late, they've already won a championship it was last year, but still this basketball season.

  • Toddler10-21 Feb 13, 2013

Hope they both lose! I may watch a half of a second. Heck may watch hockey.

Yeah - I think Miami will be hanging the "ACC Regular Season" banner; not sure about the ACCT though, which as we all know, is the real ACC Champ.

I disagree. If they miss the NCAA's and get an invite to the NIT, they should graciously accept. It IS more practice time, and they'd look like a spoiled kid not accepting the bid.

I don't know how many games UNC has started and gone down by 15 or more points or go 5 to 10 minutes before scoring their first 10 points. Bullock and McAdoo the only 2 scorers on the floor at the beginning of the game. Two scorers for us 5 for them. I know Paige can score, but who is he going to feed the ball to for scoring. Our shooting guard is averaging only 7.4 pts. per game. That has to be the lowest of any ACC team. Our starting center is averaging 1.4 pts. per game but is killing it with 2 rebounds per game. The 4 top leading scores are McAcoo, Bullock, Hairston, and McDonald. If Roy starts his normal 5, then it will be over before the first tv timeout. The end result will probably be a loss but I'd like to see a closer ball game.
One other thing. Roy says the player earn playing time by their practice play. But, Carolina is judged on how to plays on game day. I'd like to see Paige, Bullock, Hairston, McAdoo, and Johnson play 30 minutes. Strickland to fill in at the point, McDonald fill in at the shooting guard, Tokoto fill in for Hairston, or McAdoo, and Simmons, Hubert, James.

  • iron fist Feb 12, 2013

If they don’t make the NCAA tourney they should not accept NIT bid any other team I would say the experience may help but not this team. They have so many issues I don’t think NIT play would help them. They seem to be lost some times. Turnovers, bad shots, no movement on offense and poor defense at times.
