Based upon watching all teams play since Thursday night, State looks better vs UNC and Duke. All phases of of the game.

  • StunGunn Sep 20, 2013

State did show huge improvements on both sides of the ball last night. I'm really impressed with how well State played, and I believe they'll have a good season.

    Sportznut,
No just confirming your lack of intelligence. Hard to sound like anything with the written word.I guess not having to attend class does have an impact.

Oh my bad you sounded like Pack fans when TOB was hired

  • shpack4 Sep 20, 2013

sportznut(fitting name) This is a thread about football. Leave it to a pansy tarhole to try to relate to basketball. Why don't you go back to your UNCheat rental car, no class website. It is really tiring to see the only comments you th$gs can make are related to basketball. I know it is an intelligence issue with you tarholes. By the way to mom has your sandwich ready.

Oh come on now. State got hosed on that call. Doesn't mean they would have won (but it would have surely made it interesting). You can't review a play that's (erroneously) called dead. Bad call, but a good game. Move on.

You sound like Pack fans after Lowes first team went to OT in the ACC Championship game - how'd that work out?

  • sburks1906 Sep 20, 2013

    I meant Underwood! My bad...

  • sburks1906 Sep 20, 2013

It's too bad that State go screwed with that bad call (Henderson was in!), but my Pack did show me something last night. We are in good hands with Doeren.

    7-5

  • corey3rd2 Sep 20, 2013

State would have won if the phantom out of bounds call hadn't been whistled on the major touchdown run. And no booth review? Looks like the ACC is taking a cue from the SEC and fixing games to ensure their top teams don't get upset. ACC needs Florida State and Clemson to be a Top 5 battle to get the TV ratings. It's disgusting to see how money is turning college football into pro wrestling.

  • VT1994Hokie Sep 20, 2013

NC State looked really strong last night. The defense banged Clemson pretty well all night too. Hitting and running to the ball was impressive. This team should win 8 games. Doeren and his staff have done a solid job.

  • rcrumpler6 Sep 20, 2013

I didn't support the firing of Tom Obrien, not while UNC's program is on fire, but I liked what I saw last night. My main concern was the disipline the TO had instilled in the players. Dave showed me has it too, when he chewed out the kid after the personal foul on the third quarter punt return. I like what I saw.

  • Barely Sep 20, 2013

I liked the drive where we went for it on 4th down every time. It was also funny to see the Clemson players standing around looking like, "Buhhh. It's 4th. Where is their punting team?"

  • saxon4646 Sep 20, 2013

Looks like our coaches did alot to motivate the players and what about that Freshman left guard that played out of position. He did one OUTSTANDING job of keeping Mr All- American in check for most of the game. Very impressive and to think he was a freshman and never played that position before- glad he is around for 4 years. Defensive line- 1st and 2nd units did exceptional again- lots of younger players that can get after it. Yes- a loss is a loss but us Wolfpackers have alot to be looking forward to.

  • 4tarheels Sep 20, 2013

The defense looked great at times, especially getting pressure on Boyd. They had some hard hitting linebackers who laid the lumber on the Clemson runners. I couldn't believe that this team struggled with Richmond.

  • NCSU84 Sep 20, 2013

A good summary. Hope the season continues to look up for State.
