    BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • rexchex Nov 30, 2013

This is OUR state....of complete incompetence,of complete lack of continuity, and complete delusional grandeur year after year. If only the stupid lineman would not have blown his whistle in the Clemson game, this may have been a different year. Carter Finley was rocking that night, like the good ole days of Rivers and Holt, Brown and Richter, Lowe and Whittenburg (eh, it's a blog...relax).

A win that night may have changed everything as Uncle Mo never returned the rest of the season. I truly believe that confidence begets confidence, and that ref' s whistle may have been the worst blown call of this entire season.

I never thought I would see the day that Duke plays one game against Carolina to go to the ACC Championship and NC State has one last chance to avoid a conference goose-egg! I hope Duke runs the table this year,'cause I respect Coach Cutcliffe. But next year the Pack will definitely be back!

THE PACK WILL WIN THE ACC BEFORE THE DECADE IS OUT, PROBABLY NEXT YEAR!!!

"When that day comes I shall futterwacken...vigorously."

And one more quote..."I don't measure a man's success by how he climbs but by how high he bounces when he hits bottom." GENERAL GEORGE S. PATTON

    Go Pack!

Mr. Stocker will not be the only one to leave the program this year. I wonder how many more will see the door? The Coaches and AD keep telling us wait until they get their recruits and system in place. In another words we will be bottom feeders for some time now.

  • TheBigLC Nov 28, 2013

Wish him all the best. I get the feeling he'll be involved in football in 2 years while Doeren probably won't be if he keeps this up.

  • DurhamDevil Nov 28, 2013

The NCSU crowd is tough to please, which is the reason for constantly changing coaches, which, thereby, is the reason for one disappointing season after another.

Hire a good AD who can find a good coach and then make a commitment to them - the wins will come. That works for basketball, as well.

  • jeff727 Nov 28, 2013

I guess you are not aware we have Jacoby Brissett, a Florida transfer, ready to go at qb next season.

  • jmcdow2792 Nov 28, 2013

Thanks and best wishes to Manny Stocker. I saw him play in the spring game and at that time, in my opinion, he was third in line (not including Brissett.) I thought he would have been the running qb back up to Mitchell in a two qb lineup and was surprised when he did not come in as the running play backup to Thomas. Sheriffs came out of no where to fill that role. With Brissett and the other qbs that got some snaps this year coming back, I can see why Stocker feels he would be better off somewhere else. That's life. Again, thanks to Stocker and I hope he does well at a new location. The book is still open on State's offense. I need to see significant improvements in performance and play calling.

well, its caused more penalties for State than its revealed anything usable for the offense, given the lack of td's by the offense

  • wynnediii Nov 27, 2013

Pre-snap motion can help determine if a defense is running zone or man coverage.

  • weaklings report Nov 27, 2013

    View quoted thread

from what i can tell, there is alot of useless, pre-snap motion(which has caused quite a number of penalties), and head-scratching play calls....another thing i've noticed, is the defense barely reacts to the pre-snap motion, most of the time....isnt pre-snap motion supposed to confuse the defense, or cause them to counter-move??...i guess they figured State would kill themselves, so there was no need to react to the constant pre-snap motion

  • wynnediii Nov 27, 2013

Those guys might be doing well in the NFL but what did they do at State? Wait for it.........NOTHING!
Wilson transferred to Badger land. He knew the TOB couldn't name him the starter but we all know if he came back after trying to be a baseball star he would have put Glennon on the bench. Guys do not want to go. To State. Why else would Wilson have transferred?

  • ciscopack Nov 27, 2013

LMAO Anyone checked this week's NFL QB Passer Rating Leaders??? In the National Football League, 3 of the top 9 Quarterbacks are NC State Graduates! None of them were 5 star players; Glennon was a 4 star; very late in recruiting Rivers rose to 3 star and Wilson was a 2 star. Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterbackRatingStocker would never start at NC State at QB. Sometimes you recruit guys who can't do on the field what you think they can. Brandon Barnes was a 5 star RB and was at one time rated first in the nation, yet he was the number 4 back his senior year on a 2A high school team. Don't get caught up with stars. Best of luck to Manny; I hope he lands somewhere that he can compete for the QB position!

  • bsly137 Nov 27, 2013

Just another recruit that wasn't good enough or didn't fit the offence that doeren wants to run. Nothing to see here other than the fact that his dad shows himself by bad mouthing the coaching staff. Good luck playing football for some division 2 school. Maybe he'll have a better chance there with lesser competition.

  • wynnediii Nov 27, 2013

    Landing 5 star recruits...pretty delusional.

  • PricelessGemUNC Nov 27, 2013

Your school is not a place where 5 star talent will attend unless you have a 5 star type name coach and we know that will not happen.

Good players? If the kid was a good player, he would have won the starting position outright. I appreciate the fact that he came to NC State. It hasn't worked out, and we wish him nothing but the best wherever he transfers to.

  • Ken D. Nov 27, 2013

    View quoted thread

I'm sure it has never occurred to State coaches that they should try to recruit better players. Who knew that GREAT players are better than average players?

I suppose State could start concentrating their recruiting efforts on the 15-20 five star recruits - the ones that are now signing with lesser schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Southern Cal. I'm sure those kids would find Raleigh a much more attractive place to play than the schools they are now selecting.

Of course, the downside of that strategy is that if, for some strange reason, the five star recruits say no, you have also lost out on the three star kids you might have persuaded to come to State.

State has in the recent past had three starting NFL QB's leading their team. None of them had what it takes to get the team to the next level. Maybe there is something about State that recruits don't find all that attractive. If that's the case, then going after more of the players that the top tier programs are recruiting might not be a great strategy.

  • vrigg45071 Nov 27, 2013

Correct about the name, though. That's a five star name!

  • wsaldridge1120 Nov 27, 2013

None of the QB's on the roster have what it takes to get this team to the next level including Stocker!! Problem is they need to start recruiting 5 star recruits and not the 3 star that we are use to. For years every Pack coach has settled for less than average players in hopes of them developing into great players. With the exception of one player here and there it hasn't worked out too well over the years. Time to start recruiting GREAT players and NOT average players!!

  • Toddler10-21 Nov 27, 2013

    What exactly is Doern's offense??

  • HEELSrocknU Nov 27, 2013

As bad as States QBs have been this year, looks like TOB jr would have let the water boy tryout for the position, couldn't done much worse

  • Luv2Camp Nov 27, 2013

8 straight losses, a couple of incredibly stupid 4th down calls, and now good players transferring. Doeren is already on the hot seat.

  • sportznutV2.1 Nov 27, 2013

So Doeren lied to the kid....nice, he is better off jumping - that ship is on fire and there is not enough water in the ocean to put it out

Glennon's dad was right about NC State

  • wynnediii Nov 27, 2013

If TOB players lacked skills...he must have been some kind of coach to win any games.
