Ha ha ha. Actually, I wouldn't be shocked if State wins the game.

Say what you will, I will NEVER consider Syracuse an ACC team.

  • swray001 Feb 14, 2014

funnything you read the article wrong, carolina had zero points at the half.

  • LuvsThePack Feb 14, 2014

No worries. State is going to take care of this little fluke of a win streak come Saturday.

    GO PACK!!!

I enjoy reading about the "good old days", and Bob Holliday has some good stories to tell. I think the ACC is still a good BB conference, and hopefully we can make some noise in the NCAAT. I think Duke, Syracuse, and maybe UVA will be dancing longer, and I also think State and Carolina will make it to the Tourney, but probably get bounced the first weekend.

Haha. I don't usually disagree with you, but I thought this dragged on way to long. I lost interest half way through. Thought it was supposed to be about Syracuse. It ended up being all about Duke and Carolina from decades ago.

Actually, that may be 8 teams, but only 4 schools. And yes, 4 corners figured in, but holding Duke to 0 for the half -that's not 4 corners.

It's possible Syracuse could go undefeated, but not probable as they still have to play Duke and Virginia on the road. Syracuse could go 18-0 only because of expansion.

Great piece, Bob. I really enjoy the ACC's rich history in basketball.

I think the ACC will make a good showing in the NCAAT with Syracuse and Duke making deep runs, and possibly Virginia as well.

I don't see Syracuse going undefeated; I think Duke will beat them next week in Cameron.

I guess it is ok to look at the eggs but the chickens haven't hatched yet. This picture could change very quickly.

  • THD Feb 14, 2014

Because those games from 4 corners were chicken shoot. 7-0 at the half is embarrassing. That's not even competing

  • funnything Feb 14, 2014

Duke once beat UNC 21-20. That was in 1966. In 1979, the same two teams played another game where the halftime score was 7-0 in favor of the Tar Heels.

UNC still holds the ACC record for fewest points in a half.

how is this possible after holding Duke to zero?
