No offense taken, that was kind of my point. I've heard about Davis, Feinstein, and Doyel lately and my statement was a reaction to an apparently honest appraisal of a local situation by a local reporter who's based right across the street from the source of this situation. How could Jeff Gravley have any less insight about this than any of the nationally known "experts"?

Gregg Doyel has nothing on denismcal when it comes to angry hate pieces.

No offense, but Gregg Doyle has ZERO credibility. He writes angry, hate pieces menat to draw readers to CBS's website.

Nice to hear all this tough guy talk from a bunch of couch potatoes! He was a KID under a bad coach. Funny, Lowe hasnt had a decent point guard since he came to town. So now all of these pg's had no game?! Give the young man a break. He probably was just more familar with another coach and dedided to leave. Not like he was a malcontent like LD2. You slackpackers need to grow up! GO HEELS!!! 2012 NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!

  • RochesterRedWolf Apr 28, 2011

i really liked this kid, we all did, im sure even some dookies and tarholes admired his handle and hops, but the kid disappeared in the most crucial part of the season, and i don't recall him hitting any big shots. He airballed/bricked so many of his threes i wasn't even hopeful as he pulled up to shoot. His floaters and bank shots also stopped falling. Looks and sounds like (from what we are hearing) that he mailed it in a long time ago

  • jayparks0228 Apr 28, 2011

I also questioned him about the Carolina game. If you're that flu-ridden, why are you on the bench risking spreading your virus to teammates? Didn't look right then or now. And to hear teammates also question that fact! Not the look of a 5 star recruit. Probably, wherever he winds up, won't hear from him again. No way he'll be at Kentucky or Tennessee!

  • FAN72 Apr 27, 2011

He is gone. Enough said. Let's move on.

  • ncsufamily24 Apr 27, 2011

    Hokie 94:

I agree with you. Too bad he's decided to leave State, but that's his decision.
Wish him well and hope he develops into a great player.

  • VT1994Hokie Apr 27, 2011

I wrote yesterday that he is immature, and he has a weak body right now. He will get stronger. He has the skills. But. Like some have written he is gone now.

  • tarheelgrad1998 Apr 27, 2011

He may be immature, I don't know. But are we really judging character based on what someone posts on Twitter these days? I thought posting nonsense was what kids do on Twitter...

  • eah51 Apr 27, 2011

just another spoiled brat who's not ready to grow up. how was he ever a 5 star recruit? who decides who is a 5, or 4, or whatever? he wasn't ready for the big time ACC spotlight, have fun in the horizon league eating your pop tarts...

  • TruthBKnown Banned Again02 Apr 27, 2011

    nice "life", not "live".

WRAL, it's really annoying that some of your stories don't allow for edits.

  • TruthBKnown Banned Again02 Apr 27, 2011

I agree with every post here, so far.

And I don't really care to hear another word about him. Like we say to fellow employees that are leaving for another company... I wish him well in his future endeavors. Now go have a nice live, Ryan. I enjoyed watching you play for a year. But nothing more needs to be said. Don't let the door hitcha where the good Lord splitcha!

  • neicymath Apr 27, 2011

I'm a State fan, but 4tarheels, I have to agree with you. His teams seemed to fold pretty easily under adversity, both in games and during the season.

  • 4tarheels Apr 27, 2011

Apparently he lacked mental toughness, a trademark of Lowe era.

  • gopack54 Apr 27, 2011

If he's looking playing time, he's looking in the wrong place. Unless he's willing to put in some time in the weight room, he won't play a lot anywhere.

  • lmartin152 Apr 27, 2011

This from a man in the know locally, who does this for a living. Would think he would have at least as much credibility as the Davises and Feinsteins and Doyels of the world. Good read, and apparently honest.
