UNC hires Zac Selmon as Associate Director of Athletics

Chapel Hill, N.C. — The University of North Carolina has hired Zac Selmon to become the new Associate Director of Athletics.
Selmon will be tasked with tracking the strategic plan of the athletics department representing the director of athletics at meetings and on committees, assisting with internal communications, serving as liaison with external groups such as the ACC, NCAA and NACDA, and administering the department’s executive and senior staff meetings.
He will report directly to Bubba Cunningham and assume his role on Monday.
Selmon played tight end at Wake Forest from 2004-07, starting on the 2006 ACC championship team that played in the Orange Bowl. While at Wake, he majored in religion and international studies. He earned his master’s in education with an emphasis in intercollegiate athletics administration from Oklahoma in 2010.
A Norman, Okla., native, he most recently worked as the associate director of athletics development at the University of Oklahoma where he handled major gifts, stewardship and donor relations, the athletics endowment program and the athletics diversity program.
