Chapel Hill, N.C. — North Carolina senior guard Jonathan Cooper was named a Walter Camp first-team All-America Thursday, adding to his collection of postseason honors.
A native of Wilmington, N.C., Cooper graded out at 90 percent for the season and had double-digit knockdown blocks in nine of the Tar Heels' 12 games. Running behind Cooper and left tackle James Hurst, UNC tailback Giovani Bernard ran for 1,228 yards.

The Walter Camp team is the third All-America team for Cooper, the Tar Heels' top-rated offensive lineman. Cooper also earned first-team honors by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and the Football Writers' Association of America (FWAA). He was one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy, which goes to the nation's top interior lineman. He is the first Tar Heel to earn Walter Camp All-America honors since defensive back Trimane Goddard was a second-team selection in 2008.
The Walter Camp All-America team is selected by the head coaches and sports information directors of the 124 Football Bowl Subdivision schools.

And the post police are back, ladies and gentlemen.
And I disagree on your assessment. No way I posted 500 comments in one week. You should make your sarcasm a little clearer for others.

If you watched the State/Carolina game, you know exactly who he is. Just congratulate the kid without having to take a cheap shot at him.

Congratulations -- don't really know this kid by name, but he must be pretty solid if he received this honor.

Performance enhanced steroid induced posting again. You know nothing but still post. Last week you were at 700 posts, this week at 1200. 500 posts in a week so thats a bit over a year to get back to your old count unless you start hiring someone to post for you while you sleep.

Really happy for Cooper - he's a great guy and well deserving of this award. I'm going to miss seeing him play next year. He represented Carolina very well.
