— Landon Lassiter had three hits and Wood Myers drove in three runs as North Carolina split a doubleheader at No. 4 Miami with an 11-2 win Friday night at Alex Rodriguez Park.

Carolina scored four times in the first and led 11-1 after 4 in support of Benton Moss, who struck out nine and allowed just four hits and one run to pick up his fourth win of the season.

The Tar Heels dropped the first game of the doubleheader 6-5 in 16 innings but rebounded to improve to 32-22 and 15-14 in the Atlantic Coast Conference with their third win of the year over a top-5 opponent.

Nice job by the Heels to bounce back after a 16 inning, one run loss in the opener, & on the road at that. Not surprised...there is a reason they've been one of the best programs in the nation over the years. A 30 win season is a good season, 40 is great, & everything else is icing on the cake.

    :)

I love me some hoops, but I was trying to find the game(s) last night on TV and couldn't, I tried to find the score of the first game, knowing it was in extra innings, and couldn't, and I finally gave up when I couldn't find it on the radio either. ESPN had women's softball on. Oh well. Glad they split, but 16 innings - wow!

That's the way it is in a hoops state.

Would have been nice to see current ACC standings this AM. Too little coverage of local college baseball.
