^^^The ACC does have two teams in the BCS Bowl Series. Clemson and VT. This has not happened in a long time. The Orange and the Sugar are impressive Bowls. Just hoping that VT can play smarter than they did against Clemson. Go Hokies.

I stand corrected on the 4 in a row thing. State's 2003 Gator Bowl was technically tied to the 2002 season.

OK...so, with less conviction, UNC is currently on a 4 bowl appearance streak.

Or was it 2000, 01, 02 and 03? But why bother with pesky little things like facts when you can make up something not true that sounds better to you.

And just so you know, State has now been to bowls 3 out of the last 4 years.

But we do appreciate your concern. :)

Speaking of facts, UNC is going bowling for the 4th straight season.

That wolffie program last accomplished such back in the day when DT and Monte were cruising Hillsboro Street.

Last five seasons: no wins against divisional foes away from CF (that would equate to a 0-17 perspective, I do believe)

    First three seasons: Rebuilding years.
Last two seasons: 16 wins (17th win pending the bowl outcome?)

Half of TOB's total wins over 5 years came in the last TWO years.

Not that you care about perspectives. I just put your numbers into it.

Depending upon your definition of "offer", I would guess this was the first actual "offer". I won't guess how many "contacts " there were before this offer.

Just do not see how all the press is predjudiced against state college. I continue to hear that from different state fans. The good coverage comes with having quality..winning programs...unfortunately thaat has not been the case for the pack. Maybe in a few years with more coaching changes it can happen.

What we don't know is how many people were not interested in being interviewed. Those count as rejections. We learned that during State's last coaching search.

Plus, it's all subjective. With Carolina, they never get rejected. No recruit ever turns them down. If a recruit doesn't choose to go to Carolina, well you can guarantee that Roy didn't offer him a scholly. It's never a case of Roy figuring out if a kid wants to come before offering in order to reduce his number of "rejections".

No doubt it's the same here. If this had been State's coaching search, WRAL would have been running articles all along talking about every "rejection", regardless of who rejected who.

Hope not. Yeah, missed that step but you get my drift, it comes down to trusting Bubba's 6th sense in finding coaching talent and if you beleive he has a "midas touch" when it comes to evaluting and selecting coaches. If he get's UNC to the tops in the ACC I don't see him going anywhere else but you never know. Considering the extremely tough recruiting environment in MS/SEC I'm extremely optomistic about Fedora. Now he just has to prove my faith and confidence is well placed.

Is this little fella serious? UNC irrelevant? But somehow they still manage to consistantly beat the brakes off of Dook year in and year out. Any division I school with a track around their "football field" shows you just how irrelevant the university of Durham thinks football is.
