2010: #1 Duke beat #2 WV that beat #1 Kentucky. Duke beat #5 Butler that beat #1 Syracuse.
2001: #1 Duke beat #2 Arizona that beat #1 MSU. Duke beat #3 Maryland that beat #1 Stanford.
1992: #1 Duke beat #6 Michigan that beat #1 Ohio State. The other #1 was a Roy Williams-led Kansas team that didn't make past the first weekend. Yet, UNC fans joke about this!!! No surprise, given the average UNC-fan IQ...
1991: #1 Duke beat a Roy Williams-led #3 Kansas team that beat a Dean Smith-led #1 UNC team (Dang, that's too funny!). Duke also beat #1 UNLV.

but when they do play a #1 seed, they get blasted by 30.
During recent times, UNC could not even handle #3 Dayton in the NIT.
Back in the day, Duke more than made up for losing to UNLV.

Did the 1957 NY/NJ Tar Heels beat a #1 seed to win it all? What about the 1982 cakewalk to the final game? What about the time out in 1993? How about 2005? Did UNC thank NC State for knocking off UCONN to help UNC survive their region? Did Roy thank Matt? What #1 seeds did UNC face in 2009?
