Not really brandon. I do find your quick retorts endearing though. I haven't even mentioned the fact that you know where the origin of "pwned" came from and I didn't. It's an internet meme silly little brandon. I do enjoy your love affair with shepherd blossoming into something quite magical. I'm enjoying bringing poor little shepherd down to earth so yes ill respond to that. God knows someone needs to the poor guy is high on his own bullsh!t and apparently you gotta buzz from it too.
it is an internet meme that came from one of the lamest role playing games of all time, so it is not surprising that you would somehow have it in your screen name.- Posted by bpayne812-take two

Not denying where it came from Brandon. You were nice enough to school me on that. Btw, calling the game lame isn't hurting my feelings because I've never played it. In fact, I don't know anyone that does. My screen name comes from rocketchild thinking I was trying to spell "pawn". It's an homage to him. It apparently has resonated quite deeply with you because you keep responding to the "troll" you said you'd never talk to again. And for that we thank you.

That's where you are wrong, Jacob, I am not patting myself on the back for knowing these players. I don't think it's special or impressive at all. It requires no talent, skill, intellect or anything other than a little bit of interest and a run of the mill memory. And that's the point dear Jacob. It takes little to no effort to know who these gentlemen are, and yet you act as if it does. And you act that way because you don't know who they are, and you need an excuse to defend to yourself as to why. And it's ok. Most UNC fans lie to themselves.
See this isn't about me, Jacob. This has nothing to do with me. It never has Jacob. This has always been about you. You who goes running his mouth as if others care for his advice. You who must bleat on and on about his team because he has nothing else in his life worth talking about. You who thinks these players are "obscure" because you have to defend the fact that you don't know them. No Jacob, this isn't about me. It isn't about what I know. It's about what you don't. And that's college basketball and the UNC Tarheels.
But it's ok. We know why you root for UNC. And we know why you don't really know anything about them. We know you need to be the center of attention. We know about your desire to prove you belong somewhere. We know you picked up cheering for the Heels just so you could experience being a winner once in your life.
And it's ok Jacob.
But you don't need to shoot the messenger.
And yes, I did have to google a couple of your names. So what? This isn't an Entertainment Weekly website Jacob. Washed up commedians and adult film stars are not the topic of the day here. Not knowing who Bruce-Bruce is probably lends more validity to one's argument here. And that you think such knowledge matters, that the score there is relevant, well that just proves how truly irrelevant anything you have to say here is.
Once again your longwinded diatribe proves who really seeks the attention my pal. I know you just got shivers running down your leg ala Chris Matthews after your latest retort. It may have sounded good but it couldn't be further from the truth. I am not a bandwagoner, but i also don't live and breathe sports and then brag about it like you DO. This has always been about you shepherd. You may think me calling you pompous is an insult but its not just an observation. The fact your elementary level psychoanalysis is so far in lalaland yet you seem so confident in its content shows this will always be about you.
I don't recall bragging. I was just trying to point out you're a fair-weather fan and as a result, shouldn't go running your mouth about things you don't understand.
You say you don't live and breath sports, and yet, you've made 61 posts on this here site in just this month, so clearly you think you belong here. I was merely trying to point out that your fair-weather status (which you just readily admitted to) indicates you've got no business running your mouth here.
You seem to think otherwise. And that's ok. That makes complete sense and is typical of you Tarholes. You only pretend to be sports fans when your team is on top because you think riding the coattails of Tarheel basketball makes you successful in life too. But it doesn't. That's why you pretend you don't care when the Tarheels lose, and act as if the Tarheels aren't all that important to you when you get found out for being the fair-weather pansy that you are.
Everything you've written here reaffirms my assessment of your fanhood: you're a fairweather dooshbag who only cares about UNC basketball because they win and you think you can transpose their success into your own life. Well you can't. You're still a loser my friend. It doesn't matter how many titles UNC wins, nothing will change that until you decide to change it yourself. And the first step is admitting your faults. You've done that here today and I give you credit for it.
The next step is to stop pretending you're a real fan, and to leave this forum and get on with your life. And in that endeavor, I bid you good luck. Otherwise, you should shut your mouth around here until you become enough of a fan that your opinion actually counts for something.
PS: Props for the Chris Matthews joke. That was funny.
Well I must admit I'm a little proud of myself for turning the Great Shepherd into a childish name calling wackadoo. Mission accomplished on that note. You also have a fantastic ability to make incorrect presumptuous statments that lack any real insight (although you DO word it well) reminds me of a student writing a paper like a used car salesman who has no clue what he's talking about but you use a lot of multisyllable words. I also appreciate the fact that you think one person deserves to be on here more than another (whats the word I'm looking for...arrogant pomposity sorry two words). So do everyone a favor king of the forums, try not to take yourself so serious because when you are a poignant example of what I would refer to as "a joke" the only one not laughing is you. If it makes you feel better I will read up on the entire history of UNC basketball that way I can be considered more than a fairweather fan to you. Oh wait that would me I gave a rats azz about your opinion....or your brother's for that matter.
Did you happen to catch the ACC Sunday Night Hoops telecast a couple days ago? Did you hear what UNC's own Hubert Davis had to say about this year's Tarheel team? He said they were one of the best in the country....when they play hard. He said he didn't understand why is that they didn't, why they didn't seem motivated, and why they didn't want to play hard all the time.- Posted by shepherdofwolves
Well that's one thing no one has ever said about Duke my friend. Coach K's teams always play hard. That's been the Duke hallmark since he's been there. Even when his teams weren't all that talented, they always gave it everything they had. Because that's how they are coached.
But not your beloved Tarheels. They don't play hard. Their own alumni admit it. And they admit it with deepening concern. They wonder what's going on, why the effort seems so passionless and hesitant at times.
And they wonder that, because in the midst of a game the Tarheels were struggling in down in Tallahassee, did the head coach fire up the players and urge them to keep playing with intensity? NO. He hung his head and accepted defeat, watching a 12 point lead explode to 20. He shrugged his shoulders and surrendered, and so did the players, who went on to lose by 30.
That same team would go on to blow a 10 pt lead in 2 minutes a couple weeks ago. All the while unable to pick up their spirits and finish off an opponent who played with more heart. An opponent who was coached to always play hard and never quit on themselves. Well you boys quit on yourselves. You quit against FSU and you quit against Duke. Because that's all your boys have ever been with Roy Williams. Quitters who give up when the going gets rough.
And that's why it wasn't UNC that came back from 20 points down to defeat an instate rival, but Duke. That's why it wasn't UNC that came back from 10 down with two minutes to play, but Duke.
Because Duke is well coached, and UNC is not. Hubert Davis would tell you as much.
