OUCH!!! I've said for years now that the Cowardly Lion was not a great coach. But, to hear that from a player is hilarious!!!

Roy can't coach. Period.

Coach Sid Lowe or Matt D would've had the 2010 UNC team in the big dance. This is great, to finally hear it from the guys on his team. Roy needs a raise and an extension. He already has a losing record to Duke. Let's keep this going!

Roy can't coach. Period.  

Someone better tell that to the College Basketball Hall of Fame.

They appear to believe otherwise.

So, the football team is not told about agents and the basketball team is not taught basketball 101 skills.

I remember, Roy once said he expected that his players would already know how to pass the ball prior to arriving in Chapel Hill. I suppose they also need to know about late-game strategy. I mean, gosh - teaching those things are way below Roy's pay grade.

Late-game strategy is something taught from an early age.
Players at this level know what do do.
Credit dook players for executing.
Shame on UNC for not.
Prime example: Did Kiwi draw up the last 2 treys that dook hit? No -- there were done in the flow of the game and were performed by individuals in a situational setting.

^Yeah, its not like its up to the coach to devise any kind of strategy to maintain a lead or anything in order to close out a game.

K used a time out to set that up. Rivers even said after the game, the last play was set up for either Dawkins or him. Good coaches coach. Bad coaches stand by and watch.

Wow!!! Give a guard the ball and let him go. Quite the coaching.

Similarly, here's the defensive strategy that is learned early on: hit your free throws; play good D but don't stop the clock with needless fouls, avoid offensive fouls, protect the ball. Not complex to understand but can be difficult to execute.

Speaking of which, this kind of thread (and those flogging Zeller) simply do nothing but take away from the effort that dook put forth that game. Good job.
