UNC Alone in 1st Place

RE: UNC Alone in 1st Place

Poor baby...some will never understand. ACC schedules 101 (for those who can't think):

Both Duke and UNC play the top 4 teams 5 times. The difference being UNC plays UVA twice, while Duke plays FSU twice. Now, between UVA and FSU, who would you desire to play twice?

It's pretty simple. Sometimes, you have an easy rotation, sometimes you don't. But, the difference in Duke and UNC fans is that we will gladly admit when Duke has an easy rotation. UNC fans are too embarrassed and/or ignorant to admit the same.

Heck, just dawned on me!

Duke's 5 games against the top 4 are 3 home, 2 away.
UNC's 5 games against the top 4 are 2 home, 3 away.

Wow...Duke has it made!

BTW, if you add the fifth place team to the equation, it does change.
Duke's six games are 4 home, 2 away
UNC's six games are 3 home, 4 away.

It just keeps getting easier for the Devils!

well, good thing for the Heels that Duke has played more at home because they have been outstanding on the road in conference this year.

The entire "who has the tougher schedule" is a joke made up by people who like to make excuse! I say if you are a championship team then you will beat the teams in your way and move on.
This arguement is almost as dumb as saying that a team won a championship because they had an easy bracket. Still have to win 6 games!

exactly Larry. I don't care who played who and where. I just care about the w's. You don't control who you play, you can only control the outcome.

RE: UNC Alone in 1st Place

If you look at a matrix with teams listed A-L compared with standings listed 1-12, it's easy to see what teams have more difficult schedules (versus others), since there is not a round-robin format.

BUT, replace a "letter" with "UNC," then all of a sudden, UNC fans reveal their stupidity. I mean, hey...they still claim Duke had an easy road to the 2010 championship - go figure.

Stupid tarholes...

Stupid a-hole troll. That's you BDF. The scumbag among posters. But still, you'll never be half the man your mother is. I do imagine, however, that you have many "fans" on here who would choose you as the one person on here they would love to run into in a dark alley.

If you only knew...

When can we set up that appointment to discuss the ocean front property I have for sale in Kansas?

As soon as you get banned and become 4.0. So let's say 20 minutes?

If and when I decide that to happen, I will let you know.

No, it's a FACT, although not that big of a deal. But, who's using that as an excuse? It is what it is. The world, other than UNC fans, get it.

Personally, I'd rather have the tougher schedule every year. It makes it sweeter when you finish on top.

Uhh, that would be 95% of UNC fans...

Why's that...because the truth hurts sometimes?

If you guys were not so ignorant, I wouldn't have much to add here.

Actually when you have to point things out that really aren't a big deal then it looks like an excuse! Always comparing yourself or your team to others is not healthy! Just saying.......

Exactly....you can't pick a arbitrarily pick a line, say those games count, others don't and then call it a Fact.

But that is what this guy wanted to do for some reason.

HUH

"No, it's a FACT, although not that big of a deal. But, who's using that as an excuse? It is what it is. The world, other than UNC fans, get i'

Well, first, you brought it up, so it must have been a big deal to you...if not, why mention it.

Second, what makes it a FACT? You saying it? You picked a line at top 4 subjectively...you ignored home vs away, subjectively.

And then you say it is a FACT. It is your OPINION. That's all.
