Rivers has lived a life as "A Golden Boy." His dad is famious. They are worth millions of dollars, and in spite of his cocky, immature statements he is still a real deal snotty little player. Some called him a punk. I can see this too. When the game is on the line... I'll take him aver Curry and all others. The Plums are high towers, but they don't have the guts to deliver. Coach K can only recruit the high IQ's to Duke. That leaves out the many posters on here for Duke.

I see Duke falling in the next few years. Give Capel the reins. He's young and he can recruit and talk the deal to these young punks today.

I think I have it Thomass. AL is a guys name and AW is a root beer. Thanks for that help you decrepit old toothless MF (and no, that is not Monday through Friday). And Thomass, please keep rooting for Duke. They deserve fans such as yourself. Inbreeding keeps the Duke throngs closer.

Whaaaaaaaaaa!!! Thomas in the house!!! What's up Jesse-RonReganHatesMe. I sent you a case of Lemon Vinegarette for Spring, did you get it? I heard you had been put into solitary but it must be that hour of time they allow you to reconnect to the outside world. Which anniversary is coming up? I lose track due to your "free love" nature. I hate to embarrass you by bringing it up but...YOUR CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS ON AGAIN!!!

Biggest thing he needs to improve on is getting the rest of his team involved. He's better now than he was at the start of the year but still tends to go rouge sometimes and tries to go one-on-one too much. Gotta respect his heart and competitiveness though.

I wonder if Rivers can spell "TEAM" without inserting an "I" in there.

You say that because you are a UNC fan. Guess you would take White, and Watts over Rivers too?

NO!!I'll take Barnes, Leslie, even "Stupid Foul Howell" over rivers, any day!! I did enjoy the look on coach k's wife face last night, though. Priceless....No matter how far UNC or NCSU go from here!! Seeing this Dook team(rivers) lose two games, in seven days; couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch!!

Every UNC player hates Rivers! UNC would love to have him. Got to give him credit, he backs it up. UNC fans talk about his dad ( Nice Guy). Hey UNC fans, wouldnt you love for BARNES to play with a chip on his shoulders the way Rivers does?

Are you serious? There are times you are quite literally the box that holds the rocks. I know as a Red Rager you have not been in the sunshine for a while, but try to act like you've been there before. You are embarrassing yourself, but that's what you do, and you are an expert at it. Oh, BTW, did you pick up a bunch of gimme 5 footers today Mr. "Gimme" a victory Ref?

They will not get a NIT seed. They will be 11 in the NCAAT and go further than Duke.

An 18 year old raised by an NBA star turned NBA coaching star. Number 1 player in his class (earned and deserved). Probably never lost at any competition in his life. Good student.

It would be a minor miracle for an 18 year old living in that reality to not have a little swagger/arrogance.

He is a huge talent, but he should learn to cool his heels a little. He gave UNC more to want to beat them. It happens when someone goes off like he did.

I recall Rivers saying, before he even got to Duke, that he didn't consider UNC a rival of Duke. I knew then he was full of it. I think his 3 pointer in the Dean Dome just set him up to be more stunned by what UNC did to his, non UNC rival team, on their own court, for the ACC regular season title. How appropriate for the, we only have one sport to talk about college, folks. How funny!!

Win by a miracle three as the clock expires after the refs have given you life, or dominate your opponent on their home court for the regular season title? Hmmm. Tough question, but I think I know which I would choose.

Are they going to start playing Austin Rivers' shot before games at the RBC center too? I guess if you can't beat the Heels, you have to celebrate when others do.

The hilarious part is having a so-called State fan as primarily the only one speaking up for Duke after last night's beatdown. Those boys were sure jacking their jaws on Blue Heaven last week. What do you suppose happened? And why do you suppose a State fan has to live vicariously through Duke's accomplishments? never mind...

I think Rivers got a life lesson last night. He's been a litle too cocky since his infamous buzzer beating 3. I have to give him props, though, because he does have the talent to back up his attitude.

State fan??....right???...Sorry. UNC beat dook lat night. The UNC/dook game is ususally the best rivalry in all of sports....especially if it is the last regular season game of the year. UNC spanked dook last night. state is still floundering after UNC and dook spanked them again twice this year......

  • 1993 Tarheel Mar 4, 2012

Cold.....(maybe some dookies should....well.....never mind.....df's are at work and are always sensitive). Rivers should have just said "The best team won and we got spanked at HIS"....next question.....

  • wolfpackindahouseV.3 Mar 4, 2012

good thing for him.... no one can ever take away his last second three, he put in zeller's face at the nose dome.

it's THAT shot that will be played endlessly every matchup from here forward (see- Jeff Capel's 3) on ESPN... we'll NEVER see shots from that game last night, ever again.

at least he can fall back on that very real REALITY.

  • Krzyzewskiectomy Mar 4, 2012
