21 Officials Calling the Sweet 16 are Primary or Secondary ACC Officials

RE: 21 Officials Calling the Sweet 16 are Primary or Secondary ACC Officials

I'm sorry, but I FIRMLY remember everyone, including UNC fans, lamenting the decline in good officiating in the ACC... ALL YEAR LONG.

Quit trying to make it look like only State fans ever complain. You're over-dosing on ALL the blue kool-aid. AGAIN.

officating in my opinion is terrible everywhere. maybe i'm just too old to understand todays game with the pushing, shoving, handchecking, flopping, the coaches cussing, hard fouls, and etc. fans are mean and nasty, bad behavior is thought to be the correct behavior and what most schools reward, hate has replaced good sportsmanship. Sad

RE: 21 Officials Calling the Sweet 16 are Primary or Secondary ACC Officials

In other news tonight, Wiscy blew it against Syracuse and Mich. St. is imploding against a HOT Louisville team.

Whiskey looked like a high school team that did not know how to run a half court offense that last minute plus. I agree Tommy, that was pathetic basketball, especially at a Sweet 16 level. Louisville is looking like a contender. And from deep downtown, another trey!!!
Turn out the lights, the party's over...

Louisville would have beaten a couple NBA teams tonight. On fire!

RE: 21 Officials Calling the Sweet 16 are Primary or Secondary ACC Officials

Haven't we all been complaining about officiating, from all schools? I cannot imagine the pressure of being an official. That said, if it is being discussed by all, even on radio, shouldn't it be addressed? To Cuss's point it is sad. But not impossible to at least discuss. (here's my other side) Like jgunn, my check was sent, deposited and I expect results of my hard earned money;)

I can relate to some of what cuss mikemeout stated. It will become sanctioned when enough coaches, University Presidents's, AD's, and the many powers of the Board of Governor's can see what officals have in their power in calling a game. Officials can dictake the outcome. Coaches can also intimidate officals to win a game. Coach K is the best. Dean Smith milked them too in his day too. Primary or Secondary officials should be evaluated after each game. Grade them out. Then. Cut to the chase. It's called firing and hiring.

I'll bet that your check is worth more as a graduate vs any fan on here. My money and the many in your family certainly has a larger voice vs the UNC fans that didn't give to the University. Some write like they have arrived to the UNC family with the many comments[/i It's all about giving to UNC.

I wonder how many of the UNC fans that write so many on here have given monies to enhance UNC...

What the hell is it with your obsession over where people went and who gives money to what school? And what does "I'll bet that your check is worth more as a graduate vs any fan on here" mean? Are you implying that he/she makes more than every single fan on here because he/she is a grad of a certain school and can write a bigger check? Maybe - maybe not. Or, are you trying to imply that sweet's check, regardless of size, is worth more simply because it came from a grad? I'm here to tell you that it is not. And, I'll tell you again that your money, your son's money, my money, or any other person's money bestows no right to a larger voice on this forum than anyone else. It might give you a voice with university officials in certain matters, but I doubt it gets you much of one.

RE: 21 Officials Calling the Sweet 16 are Primary or Secondary ACC Officials

Quite an accomplishment considering what the Wolfpups think of ACC officiating. Guess the rest of the NCAA and the Heads of Officials in other conferences don't agree with the Red Rage conspiracy theories about the refs.

Can you provide the link to that?

A fact covered on the Dave Glenn show about 2pm. He made a big deal out of it due to everyone crying about refs. So if you don't believe Mr. Glenn I can't help. Don't have time to research for the link you need so will you take an IOU? @;~)

He probably then went on to talk about the "lovely and talented Maria", and mentioned several times that he was a lawyer, and that he has been covering the ACC for 20 some years and knows more about the ACC than anyone else. The guy was good when he was a guest on other people's shows, but since he has gotten his own show he is intolerable. I can't believe they got rid of Bomani Jones for that blow hard. Thankfully they don't play his show till 7 pm here in Charlotte and provide better options for sports radio during the day.

So wait, a second, wasn't the point of you starting this thread to essentially say that State fans are the only ones with problems with ACC officials? But now you are changing your tune and agreeing that officials of this conference are bad??? Make up your mind.

I actually think the officials are missing so many calls because they are fatigued. I'm not the team with an AD and a coach calling out the officiating nor a fanbase going nuts over officiating being set up by John Swofford to keep the Pack down. Slow down there Sparky and read Mr. Cuss's post, about too much being let go, to much physical play, and fans being mean and nasty. Dude, that's in every conference. He's making a different point from me in that I'm focusing on the mass mob hysteria that Wolfpack fans foment tht the refs are in some secret agreement with Swofford to keep the Pack down and that refs have some silent vendetta code due to Karl Hess. So my mind is fine there Mr. DireWolf.

Shoot, I gave them 5K a year for four years and all they gave me was a piece of paper.

All my money these days goes to "enhance" my kids

>The refs have been having a horrible year...all around
