UNC's Season

First off, I'm sure this thread will be responded to with mostly UNC fan deflections, Lehigh comments, etc. That's fine. At least you will all get to read the summary of UNC's season.

1) Split with Duke... really? This Duke team split with "all-everything" UNC? Ouch.

2) Couldn't beat FSU... Embarrassing 33pt loss @ FSU will never be forgotten. Add the ACCT loss to that, and it hurts even more.

3) UNC never beat a higher seed that #9 Creighton in the NCAAT. When they actually played a decent team, they looked horrible and lost by 13.

4) Barnes may go down as the most dissapointing high-profile UNC recruit ever. He was 2-3 against Duke and never lead his team to the final four.

5) UNC still had 6 high school All-Americans on that roster, even without Marshall, Strickland, and McDonald... so please dont give me that injury excuse.

No doubt they will come back with Lehigh, but when reality sets in, this season will sting.

Easiest path to the FF and they could not achieve it.

Unless Roy promises them each two suits I dont see, Henson and Barnes coming back and Marshall would be smart to ride the injury and love affair the national media has with him right now to the NBA. McAdoo, not so sure.

Sadness that Dook did nothing this season, no regular season title, no NCAA wins, second NCAA first game flameout in 4 years. How sad and pathetic for your weak ego.
How does it feel that Dook will be no better than 5th-6th in the ACC next year?

Pathetic Paula. How many fans would trade seasons with Dook here? I don't see any hands getting raised on that one. I would call losing to a 15 seed that was blown out in their next game and one of the most humiliating losses in NCAA history to be the biggest choke ever.

UNC, State, Syracuse, Florida State, Virginia, possibly Pitt.
Rivers gone, Plumlee gone, Curry might jump. Every indication is that the K era of relevance is nearly over.

Losing 3 of the last 4 including an 18 point beatdown to UNC sure did make it. And UNC fighting the odds to make the elite 8 with 4 injured players was outstanding.
If K had 4 injured players he would have had another 94-95 seasons and faked another injury like he said he would do after the Temple game.

Disagree! Biggest choke ever was a fully healthy Duke squad flaming out last year when they were supposed to win it all! I feel confident that if Marshall played the outcome would have been different yesterday but he didn't and you have to play with the cards your dealt. I felt Kansas would win yesterday before the tipoff but for 37 minutes it was even. All the credit to Kansas............well deserved!
