I think Roy is getting better as a coach with each game. It only took him about 5 minutes on the game clock yesterday to figure out Kansas had switched to a triangle and 2. Now he just needs to add in the part where he calls timeout and draws up a plan to counteract it.

Meanwhile, k-rat is still trying to figure out what hit him 10 days ago. (Other than the most embarrassing loss in the history of the NCAA tournament, that is.)

No embarrassment here. But, we all know a Duke loss is far superior to a UNC win for UNC fans. So, in a sense, UNC won the 2012 National title. The Helm's Committee will deliver the banner come November.

Yesterday, Kansas beat UNC. No big deal for BDF, since I guaranteed two months that UNC was not a title contender. But, the fact that UNC fans find so much humor in Duke losing is actually a compliment, respect. So, keep up the good work!

Don't forget teaching his kids how to close out games. Remember, his players said he didn't teach things like that. He could at least get a tutor to teach that...

With Kansas holding a 68-64 lead near the under 8-minute media timeout, Kansas slipped into a triangle-and-two defense, putting two in man-to-man and shifting three others into a zone. KU had employed a similar look in the final stages of its earlier-round victory over Purdue.

Barnes indicated that the North Carolina players didn't know that the triangle-and-two scheme was part of Kansas' defense repertoire.

"They haven't done it in the past," said Barnes, who finished with 13 points while missing all five of his three-point attempts. "But they tried it out against us."
