The truth is unc could not live up to expectations

ditto

It's hard enough to win a NT under normal circumstances...throw in some key injuries & it's next to impossible. Congrats to the Heels...they had a great season despite the Kansas game.

as kelly was more important to your team than outsiders realized...a matchup prob and the 2nd best 3 pt shooter...if he plays, no way they lose that game in the tournament...no way.

if davis goes

on the same theme...if davis's knee is hurt more than let on...kentucky will not win the title...that simple. they may not anyway...we'll see if louisville can get up for the rivalry game...around here we've seen what happens in those situations...throw out the records, shut the talking heads up...unexplained mysterious events could easily happen...like capel hitting a half court shot to send it into overtime during duke's worst season against the better team...bet the kentucky fans have some puckered parts down in frog wallow holler....until sat.

RE: The truth is unc could not live up to expectations

Roy is still in the locker room clicking his Heels and claiming that "There's no place like Kansas."

While k is polishing up his "you're effing up my program" speech for the Rivers and Plumless families.

Ha ha ha - good one, heelman! You've been on a roll lately - keep 'em coming.

RE: The truth is unc could not live up to expectations

If Carolina was healthy, I'd agree that they didn't live up to expectations, but I don't see how anyone could still pick Carolina to win it all with Marshall sidelined, Strickland out for the season (therefore no reliable PG), Henson's wrist on the mend, only to twist his ankle badly in the Kansas game. No excuses - you have to play who you have; the only thing that changed would be those expectations. I would not - and did not - expect Carolina to win it all with the players they had at the end of the season.

when you are the top program it's easy for the little brothers to whine. after all we didn't get swept for 3 games like state, pull a couple of bonehead moves to lose in the tournament; or get embarrassed twice at the end of the season by getting completely spanked on our home floor on national tv, which determined everything at the end of the regular season, and set the stage for the most embarrassing loss in the tournament by one of the bluebloods...so go easy...let them whine.

And whine they have. There's been so much mud slinging here this week, and the haterade is at an all time high. Oh well. Haters will hate.

RE: The truth is unc could not live up to expectations

Injuries suck...but still not excuses from this Heel. Looking forward to what Coach Williams and staff can pull together in the next few weeks and next year.

Are there still posters with multiple ID's on here....and why? Haha.

RE: The truth is unc could not live up to expectations

To answer the thread topic, how many teams DO live up to expectations every year? And, who's expectations? I think the fans are the worst at "expecting" their team to over-achieve, every year. Just MHWPO.

LOL, remember the last time your boys went 8-20???

Bahahhahaahahahaa..... I sure as heck don't remember State doing that, THIS CENTURY.

as far as State fell, they NEVER fell that far.

deal with that REALITY, however your feeble mind will allow you to.
