It's a no-lose situation for them. If USA loses, it was Coach K's fault. If USA wins, how could he lose with Lebron and Kobe?

sure it's a job and K can handle it easily...but let's get serious...he gets to pick and choose from the best players on the planet against everyone else. Real different than when Dean took college players and won the gold medal back. K should win. If it were Roy, or anyone else, they should win also. No contest. I could coach them. After all I've logged hundreds of hours watching them and I know their collective strengths and weaknesses also. Doubt I could come up with a plan that could stop kobe, dwayne, or lebron from being themselves once the ball went up. K doesn't deserve all the s*cking off by the media with all the advantages in the world. Put him in charge of Poland's team and lets see what he can do. HA

Almost as predictable as your UNC bashing by starting this thread. Lol...........If Roy was coaching Duke fans would be pulling against the USA, no doubt about it! I honestly could care less about it because I'm not a fan of pro basketball. If college players were playing I would be into it just for the fact they would be playing from the heart and truly for their country and not for endorsements. Bring back the college kids!

I hope USA basketball wins the gold in 2012, but taking pride in a team full of NBA stars winning at the Olympics is like taking pride in Warren Buffett making money. Wasn't Dean's gold medal with college players?

WHAT ABOUT LARRY BROWN? DIDNT HE HAVE PROS? HES A UNC GUY, AND I THINK THERE WAS ANOTHER UNC GUY THAT HAD THE PROS BEFORE K AND COULDNT GET IT DONE. WHEN K HAS SUPERIOR TALENT HE USUALLY WINS. NO ONE WILL OUT COACH HIM.

Yep, Dean won Olympic gold with the best college players in the country. Funny how everyone forgets to mention how the level of international competition wasn't even close to what it is these days though.
