Agreed, no additional discussion required.

It's a popularity contest. It's a poll among 118 NBA players, Evans got 37% of the votes, 2 other guys got 9% and no one else got more than 4%. It doesn't deserve anymore discussion really.
Number 13 - Shane Battier, Miami Heat
Still one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, I'm guessing Battier ranking so high is because people hate it when they he guards them. Averages 4.8 points per game this season for the Heat, with 1.6 personal fouls in 23 minutes a night.
Number 6 - Gerald Henderson, Charlotte Bobcats
Maybe it's a Duke thing.

Never said Wallace was not dirty.
Did provide the data from a poll of current NBA players that voted Hendergoon and Battier as dirty is valid.
By deflecting such supporting evidence with a lame claim that these players "say the best defenders are dirty because great defenders make their jobs harder", you have clearly identified yourself as a dookie homer.

It's still you because you don't think Rasheed Wallace was dirty.
kato_karma.01 Apr 26, 11:33 a.m.
Rasheed was a dirty player and Hendergoon is a angel. Who's the homer?

Battier's one of the dirtiest players ever and Rasheed Wallace was an angel. Who's the homer?
kato_karma.01 Apr 26, 11:26 a.m.
Apparently, dookie homer reasoning is that it is ok to be a dirty player if you are considered an excellent defender. As such, Rasheed gets a full pass:
"Wallace was an elite one-on-one post defender who could match up against Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett or Tracy McGrady without needing a double-team."
"At the center of it all (for Detroit) was Wallace, a dynamic low-post defender..."
"...valued around the league as a top post defender."
"He was an elite defender. His defensive rating in his best years are right where a prime KG's defense is ranked."

Will take much more than that to justify the use of the term "great".
And to discredit a poll of active NBA players.
