injuries kinda held the unc team back....
What's K's excuse for his boys? All healthy (except Kelly) and you lose to Lehigh....
LEHIGH?!?!?!?! you couldn't beat a so-so team with a nearly full deck.... face it.... K's time is coming to end.... can't recruit anymore.... No bigmen want to go there... The crowds have shrunk in the last 3 seasons (and yes I know this from personal experience)... and most importantly dookies.... look who he is surrounding himself with.... Capel was a head coach.... Collins and Wojo will take jobs in the next year or two.... See if he brings in someone else with head coaching experience.... my best guess is that he is creating a bridge between himself and Johnny or Tommy.... Capel could be that bridge.... No matter who sits in the chair after K; they are doomed to fail.... Unrealistic expectations and a 'ratty' gym... That person will last 2 or 3 years then the 'real' successor will come in.... Too bad he doesn't still have Pete to be the bridge.... He was already K's sponge... absorbing the worst year of the K era.... Why not throw him under the bus a second time?

Yea that Lehigh loss is almost as bad as going to the NIT and losing after a Title run the year before huh? I'm glad that did'nt happen to Duke

Since Dook basketball is an abject failure and their glory days are over a decade ago, they have to reach back as their present is a miserable place.

Tsk Tsk. You know UNC was without their first and second string PG. Even with major injuries UNC made it to the elite 8. Maybe Dook could have borrowed Blue Steel for a game so that they could have beaten Lehigh.

^^K has the winningest record in the Ncaa's. What are you talking about? His record is shockingly successful in the Ncaa's. You see, Duke had a bad loss. Unc had an atrocious 2010 season where their players quit all season and went to the scrub NIT tourney. It just happened that the same yr that Duke won the big-boy tourney. Will never get sweeter than that.

Poor thing, you have to bring up 3 years ago when UNC lost their top 7 scorers from the 2009 title team and had massive injuries. Dook suffers one small injury and loses to LEHIGH!!!!!!!!!! And considering 37 of K's wins were with an illegal player, there is a large asterisk beside his name.

Again, Duke's loss was bad. You realize that in addition to the horrendous entire season Unc had in 2010, they were a missed FT away from losing to the Ohio Bobcats in this years tourney. The Ohio guy choked & missed, the Lehigh dude hit his shot. That's life. It easy for Duke to move on b/c this year they didn't have it, but they didnt give up for the entire season like Unc did in 2010. That picture of the crowd reacting to River's shot makes up for everything else. I will always have that to stair at and laugh. Each individual person's reaction in priceless.

Wrong. You are assuming UNC would have run the same set play if he had hit the free throw and run the clock all the way down. Next time think for yourself instead of listening to silly announcers with an agenda.
Oh, and that 18 point whipping UNC administered to Dook on senior night at Cameron when K ran into the locker room and had Collins talk to the reporter was absolutely hilarious and more than made up for Rivers lucky shot.

I'd rather lose to Apex High School in the Ncaa tourney than lose/be in the NIT. Duke winning the Ncaa's the same year as Unc being in the Nit is the ultimate trump card. It will not/can not get better than that in sports. This year's meltdown in CH coupled with River's dagger in the heart was a pretty sweet this yr though. I remember this time last yr claiming Unc would go undefeated, win the title. It almost worked out that way, except Unc lost a bunch of games and didn't even make the FF with a cakewalk of Creighton & Ohio in front of them. Oh, and Duke beat that Kansas team that Unc's 5 lottery picks couldn't beat.

Show me any UNC fan on this site who said UNC would be undefeated. Considering they had 4 players injured by the time they made it to the elite 8, it was a success. Dook on the other hand lost the most embarrassing game in NCAA history, and that magic can never be erased.

Losing to Lehigh or any team sucks, but Duke fans never had aspirations to win much this year. Unc had 5 lottery picks and blew it. Didn't win squat. If Duke losing to Lehigh distracts you from Unc wasting all that talent this year, congrats.

LOL, you can't help injuries. UNC with a 3rd string PG starting goes multiple rounds deeper than Dook. Blue Steel could have beaten Lehigh, but not the aging and elderly K.

I mean win Ncaa titles dolt. Duke fans knew it would be a so-so year after losing Singler, Nolan & Irving. You see, Duke still tries when they lose stars instead of quitting like Unc did in 2010 they lose guys. tgif. lol. roflmao. Are you 11 years old? You are going to gag 20 yrs from now looking back at all the talent that Unc had this yr and didn't win jack. Losing to Lehigh was worth it seeing all that waste of talent fall to the first non-horrible team they played.
