Let's just save us all some time. Here's how this is going to play out:

UNC fans will see the news, read it, and say, "Oh well, glad he's resigning."

NC State fans will see the news, read it, and say, "There must be a great conspiracy. I'm going to quit my job, stockpile food and ammunition, and mount an invasion of Area 51, because the super duper evil people at UNC who make us lose all the time must be hiding something there."

UNC fans will laugh at State fans, once again, as we continue to add to our legacy as the state's flagship public university and the most well-respected athletic program in the ACC.

Evidently reading comprehension is lacking at Pack Pride. From the DTH article:

The report states that between the summers of 2007 and 2009, nine of the total 616 classes in the department were found to be aberrant, meaning there was no evidence that the listed instructor actually supervised the class.

Please, TBK, do us all a favor and read before you post.

There is all kinds of new information. Did you not read the article?

The only new information I saw was this:

-Someone (probably N-guy) changed grades without consulting with profs
-Independent study courses could have been supervised better
-All problems ended in 2009 when a certain person in the department resigned

Everything else was the same information from the NCAA report, just rehashed.

UNC should be commended for launching this investigation and releasing the information, even though there hasn't been an issue for three years now.

Is that the equivalent to the Butch Slapping that we heard so much about five years ago? Me thinks you guys got Butch slapped. Scandal, probation, academic fraud & a $2.7 million dollar payoff. Not to mention Black Santa's %75K hush money. Lemme guess. Your university probably expects the taxpayers of NC to pay that stooge's pension, too.

The beauty of it is, we don't need a conspiracy.

The TRUTH of this story is as good as just about any conspiracy we could dream up.

And do you not even see what you're doing? You haven't posted a word condemning ANY of this. All you've done is deny, deflect and attack.

Can you not even condemn what is KNOWN about this? I mean the part that is not even in dispute?

Once again, reading comprehension is not your strong suit, TBK.

If you want to make a mountain out of a molehill, go for it. Your life. I can promise you though, in a week, the only people who still care about this story will be a few red ragers at Pack Pride. The rest of us have moved on.
