quite a bit holier than thou

Very commendable of you Godfather. My wife works in public education & trust me, I know all about the problems out there. Absent parents, phone numbers that don't work when a teacher tries to make contact, drug issues among students & parents, parents that can't hold a job or in many cases WON'T hold a job.

But the fact that UNC has admitted all the academic exceptions but has yet to have an actual academic casualty in 30+ years is rather ridiculous. The corruption & cover up in Chapel Hill is the problem. Not the students. Grade inflation, fake courses & shoddy professors lead to suspect degrees.

Don't worry, help is on the way. With all the AA graduates that UNC is producing, there will be a long line of 'community organizers' to take up your mantle.

The reason NCSU doesn't graduate all of its players is because our player actually HAVE to go to REAL classes with REAL syllabuses with REAL professors. They have availability to tutors yet are accountable for their own success. Some don't cut it. White, black, red or yellow. NCSU doesn't have tutors on the payroll of the head coach doing the players school work for them. Your players take fake classes with non-existent professors or with professors so ignorant that they don't recognize (or WON'T recognize) the most important document on Swahili that has ever been written. Your boys made Baddour, Thorp & Bob Orr look like complete idgits in a court of law. And I didn't think Prince Tassle Loafers, Sr & Prince Tassle Loafers, Jr could look like biggers idgits. But McAdidn't & Nyang'oro pulled it off.

And my wife has a very good friend that taught at Dwight Jones' high school in Alamance County. She said there is no way in **** that he ever should have graduated high school much less got admitted into UNC. And she's a UNC fan. If not for some magical correspondence course conjured up by Butch & his minions, he would have never graduated HS. Clemson wouldn't even touch him. They said "Thanks, but no thanks."

And I don't want NC State to pass along every player just to make the APR numbers look good. I don't want to tarnish the value of my diploma in the name of graduating illiterates in 4 years. I want to be proud of our player graduates like Russell Wilson, Philip Rivers, & Adrian Wilson when I hear them speak on TV. I would much rather be represented by the likes of them vs. Quinton Coples, Donte Paige-Moss (of 10 people rob a bank fame), Dwight Jones, & Marvin Austin.

Yeah, thats why NCSU has such a disproportionately high number of Minority Athletes that don't graduate vs. non-minority, because they can't cut it? So then why in the world is TOBy recruiting all of these lazy kids that don't want to work and get a degree? You may be the biggest hypocrite in the blogosphere. So tell me why can NCSU football graduate 89% of it's non-minority players, but only 45% of it's minority players? Oh, that's right, they can't "cut it". So it was ok to make money off their backs while they were playing and making the Pack money, but then once they finish playing NCSU kicks them to the curb if they are minority? Why in the world is TOB recruiting so many minority players who don't graduate? Is it that NCSU is not giving them every opportunity to succeed? And guess what, you got plenty of parks and rec. majors on the team but I don't think there are many studying Nuclear Engineering, so save the holier than thou drivel about your classes. I know of plenty of "EASY" NCSU classes from friends who went there.

Sorry to have to break this down but a legitimate Parks and Recreation course, WITH SYLLABUS, with real course work, with real tests and real grades and without grades that can be changed without the knowledge of the professor, is a WHOLE LOT HOLIER than a non-existent Swahili course.

Every school has "easy classes", most are called electives. The difference in an "easy" class and what has been brought to light at unc is A LOT different. Classes with no faculty supervising the course or grading the work yet students received grades, 43 courses where there was limited or NO instructional contact with students(being taught by the dept. head!!), grade rolls were submitted to the office of the registrar with faculty signatures that appear to be forged;the faculty members whose names appear on the grade rolls stated they did not teach the course.

That's a little bit different than picking up an easy class for your humanities elective.

I want to be proud of our player graduates like Russell Wilson, Philip Rivers, & Adrian Wilson when I hear them speak on TV. I would much rather be represented by the likes of them vs. Quinton Coples, Donte Paige-Moss (of 10 people rob a bank fame), Dwight Jones, & Marvin Austin.

Yeah, thats why NCSU has such a disproportionately high number of Minority Athletes that don't graduate vs. non-minority, because they can't cut it? So then why in the world is TOBy recruiting all of these lazy kids that don't want to work and get a degree? You may be the biggest hypocrite in the blogosphere. So tell me why can NCSU football graduate 89% of it's non-minority players, but only 45% of it's minority players? Oh, that's right, they can't "cut it". So it was ok to make money off their backs while they were playing and making the Pack money, but then once they finish playing NCSU kicks them to the curb if they are minority? Why in the world is TOB recruiting so many minority players who don't graduate? Is it that NCSU is not giving them every opportunity to succeed? And guess what, you got plenty of parks and rec. majors on the team but I don't think there are many studying Nuclear Engineering, so save the holier than thou drivel about your classes. I know of plenty of "EASY" NCSU classes from friends who went there.

BTW, I've given an excellent answer to this before, defending TOB and the Pack, but figured I'd break something off since you went all "syllabusmaniac" on me. Go clean up that massive cow pie over at the quad Sparky before you start talking about someone elses compost smell there Skunkypoo.

Oh, here is our link. Riddle me this there Skunkypoo, why can VT and Miami graduate so many of it's football players? Top rated Schools like NCSU, how do they do it and NCSU struggles. How about Penn State, another great Engineering School? I'll hang up and wait while you dangle between air and water getting ready for your journey to visit the fishes.

Every school has "easy classes", most are called electives. The difference in an "easy" class and what has been brought to light at unc is A LOT different. Classes with no faculty supervising the course or grading the work yet students received grades, 43 courses where there was limited or NO instructional contact with students(being taught by the dept. head!!), grade rolls were submitted to the office of the registrar with faculty signatures that appear to be forged;the faculty members whose names appear on the grade rolls stated they did not teach the course.

That's a little bit different than picking up an easy class for your humanities elective.

Justify what you feel are shortcomings all you want. My point is NCSU has quite a bit of dirt swept under it's rug also. Wanna talk about some of it? Why don't you try explaining why TOBy is recruiting African American players that can't/won't graduate (according to Skunk). Skunkypoo says they can't "cut it". Another gut busting point is you guys are defending a poor graduation rate amongst the disadvantaged instead of talking about making improvements to raise graduation rates. How the heck are they getting in to NCSU to start with? What happened to that great screening of applicants you guys crow about? Remember, you Wolfies started this stone fight with all the hypocratic hyperbole.

The reason NCSU doesn't graduate all of its players is because our player actually HAVE to go to REAL classes with REAL syllabuses with REAL professors. They have availability to tutors yet are accountable for their own success. Some don't cut it. White, black, red or yellow. It's just amazing that UNC hasn't had an academic casualty in Football or basketball in 30+ years. Not one. Give me a break.

NCSU doesn't have tutors on the payroll of the head coach doing the players school work for them. Your players take fake classes with non-existent professors or with professors so ignorant that they don't recognize (or WON'T recognize) the most important document on Swahili that has ever been written. Your boys made Baddour, Thorp & Bob Orr look like complete idgits in a court of law. And I didn't think Prince Tassle Loafers, Sr & Prince Tassle Loafers, Jr could look like biggers idgits. But McAdidn't & Nyang'oro pulled it off.

And my wife has a very good friend that taught at Dwight Jones' high school in Alamance County. She said there is no way in **** that he ever should have graduated high school much less got admitted into UNC. And she's a UNC fan. If not for some magical correspondence course conjured up by Butch & his minions, he would have never graduated HS. Clemson wouldn't even touch him. They said "Thanks, but no thanks."

And I don't want NC State to pass along every player just to make the APR numbers look good. I don't want to tarnish the value of my diploma in the name of graduating illiterates in 4 years.
