It also (supposedly) has a degree from "Fayetteville State University" guh-CHORTLE. It may have fooled some into thinking "FSU" meant "Florida State"...but we are wise to that lil' scam.

based on the two you're referring to....

and where we both currently stand in life's great game... he's NEVER had the ability to "make fun" of this guy, for anything... much less my degree.

however, as has been discussed many a time... "ENVY" is a powerful coping mechanism, and thrown around ad nauseam in the "E-world".

No wonder UNC hasn't had an academic casualty in football OR basketball in over 30 years. With professors (& department chairs)on the take like Mr. N'garo, no wonder. The cover has been pulled off the cheating machine that is UNC athletics once again. And you can bet your your bottom dollar that b'ball players benefited from these classes 'without professors' & grade changes. What a total lack of academic integrity in Chapel Hill. Public Ivy my......

I'm soooooo thankful my son isn't going there next year. He was accepted & considered, but I told him 'Things are not as they seem over there.' With rampant grade inflation & academic fraud, UNC's reputation is taking a serious hit. Of course, most UNC sports fans don't care about that.

I thought UNC was a 'supposed' Public Ivy. I knew that was complete BS. Now this scandal confirms it.

I wouldn't insult community colleges.

I'd compare them more to a college version of Word Of God Christian Academy.

Really? As a NCSU alumni, that is what you believed, huh? I imagine the shock and horror you must have felt when you son applied to UNC.

Given the number of applications, acceptance rate and quality of admitted class, doesn't appear that the football saga has hurt UNC at all. Whether or not the current issues with the AA studies program will remains to be seen. But it does not appear that the reputation has been damaged among students wanting to attend.

NCAA must investigate this. The basketball team is heavily involved. NCAA sanctions, loss of scholarships, post-season bans, ineligible players.... this needs to happen. The NCAA is watching carefully, and they may just make a trip back to Chapel Hill this year
