Just 1 BIG difference. Most universities have had their problems over the years, at least once. Carolina has NEVER thought their shat stunk. Now that we all know it does and UNC is no better than everyone else, you can NEVER talk about the "Carolina Way" without being laughed at and looking like a fool. Oh yeah, and a hypocrite.

Bitter much? OK, I'll be the fool and the hypocrite and say THE CAROLINA WAY is alive and well. Now, I've posted before on what that WAY is, and it's best laid out in Dean Smith's book. So I can't talk about playing hard, playing smart, or playing together? I can't talk about service to the community? I can't talk about excellence? I can't talk about being unselfish? These are all parts of THE CAROLINA WAY, can you tell me how this mess with Dr. J taints the pursuit of these ideals?
So here is a question, what do you think "The Carolina Way" means? I know it's alive and well in the cancer research done by the fine folks at the Lineberger Institute. I know it's the care they give the kids at Ronald McDonald. It's wanting to be collegial. So how can a idjit professor keep these things from occuring and because I talk about them I'm now a hypocrite? BTW, me and my UNC friends know ort shat stinks, we just don't like to wallow in it like some of the Wolfies do and try and pass it off as perfume. B)
