NEWS FLASH!! Recruits shy away from UNC. "No fake classes or cheating tutors to keep me in school,"lamented one recruit. "I ain't goin' ta that there school no how. Shoot, they ain't even lettin' us be driven them fancy cars no more."

I'm sure there's not a chance in Hades that any athletes benefited from this alleged fraud. ESPECIALLY not the basketball players. No way, no how. Football players all day long, but no basketball players.

The beauty of it is that there are hard, fast academic records of what classes were taken by what athlete.

Can you smell that?

It's the sweet smell of VINDICATION wafting through the air.

I'm surprised you can smell given the amount of tin foil that constantly surrounds your head.

No wonder UNC hasn't had an academic casualty in football OR basketball in over 30 years. With professors (& department chairs)on the take like Mr. N'garo, no wonder. The cover has been pulled off the cheating machine that is UNC athletics once again. And you can bet your your bottom dollar that b'ball players benefited from these classes 'without professors' & grade changes. What a total lack of academic integrity in Chapel Hill. Public Ivy my......

I'm soooooo thankful my son isn't going there next year. He was accepted & considered, but I told him 'Things are not as they seem over there.' With rampant grade inflation & academic fraud, UNC's reputation is taking a serious hit. Of course, most UNC sports fans don't care about that.

Probably depends on the timelines being reported. If this stuff all happened on or before the NCAA's final punishment, then I'd say no. If any of it happened after their punishment was imposed, then it would have to be a possibility.

No hope is needed. There are PLENTY of Pack fans that will make sure justice is served as needed. Remember, we're the ones that found McAdoo's plagiarism.

Nope. N&O said that athletes didn't benefit from this, and regardless, WRAL report stated that the irregularities ended after one of the chairs of AfAm Studies resigned in the summer of 2009. You have to be on probation to violate your probation.
