^^Umm, Unc itself just investigated and found tons of dirt that has been going on for years. That's the opposite of on the up & up. It was only discovered when the fb program got busted by the Ncaa. Heck, Thorpe was head of this Lib Arts section & didnt notice. The entire fb & bb team almost are in this program and the coaches didnt notice. I'm joking when I say they didn't notice, b/c it would be impossible not to notice.
Does anyone else get the feeling that that AA Studies prof is being strangled in a basement somewhere right now before he can speak out?

I do admit he's my source of hate for Duke. Don't hate the players, most of the fans are ok, but I'm looking forward to the day the truth comes out about him.

And no, I would not be opposed with a similar audit at my NC State. Although, it would pretty much be a witch hunt since there is no smoking gun that calls for one there. (But go for it if you must... investigate 'em all!)

I'd be in favor of it if it would shut you up, but I know that you can't cure hate with an independent invesitgation. What I would like is for UNC to leave the ACC and never play or be associated with NC Shate ever again.
Not trying to stir any pot, but now you know how Duke, State, and Wake fans have felt about UNC for decades, IMHWPO.

Yes, it would shut me up (about this topic, anyway). I would gladly trade an independent investigation of State for one of Carolina. GLADLY.
But I have a good feeling you don't want that. No one that wants Carolina to cruise through this unscathed wants an independent investigation. There is too much potential for big-time damage.

I still love everything UNC, but maybe it is time to let someone else take a peek inside the Carolina Blue World. I feel that this is totally isolated to the AA Studies Department and its former head. An Independent Investigation would clear the air once and for all. UNC can then get back to doing things the right way, so that nothing like this will ever happen again!

Thank you for stating the obvious.
You know, when it looked like Jim Valvano's teams might begin to dominate the ACC, Valvano was investigated by several different groups. One of the groups that investigated Valvano's teams was the NC Attorney General's office.
I hope that each one of the State fans on this forum will call the Attorney General and demand that the systematic process of cheating that has undermined the integrity of the entire UNC system, be thoroughly investigated. The scope and the nature of the corruptions at UNC-Chapel Hill have already far exceeded anything that Jim Valvano did (nothing) at State.
Call or send a letter to the NC Attorney General's Office ASAP.

We didn't order up this internal investigation. So it wasn't a warlock hunt. But since they did it to themselves, and (this is the key) FOUND SOMETHING, then the investigation needs to be thorough. When you find fraud, you don't stop searching there. You look under EVERY stone and make dayum sure there isn't any more of it.
So this is not a witch hunt. That ship has long since sailed.
