While former UNC students are robbing banks, and former UNC players are quitting their sport for no apparent reason, as well as an endless amount of former UNC football players charged with various drug and weapon felonies..... it's nice to see a former player actually do something legit with his education, money and time.

I applaud Zoubek for opening a store in these tough economic times. Better than robbing a bank...

Maybe he can sell his national championship ring like LT did with his super bowl ring?

Guess Roy should have told his boys to keep putting it to Duke this year in Hansbrough Indoor Stadium instead of letting up! Then we could talk about a 40 point beating!

honestly,
I am the biggest Tarheel around but, I love Zoubek. Having known the kid for his entire five years at Duke; he is a great person. Zoubek is the type of guy that you would want your daughters to bring home. Polite, nice, and very well spoken. Brian overachieved by even getting pt at Duke. He was the proverbial project. What he did was make the most of his given talents. Now he is going into business. I say: more power to you Zoobs!!! Quality guy and I wish him nothing but, the best of luck.
Don't know why people hate on someone like that but, I guess some folks just have to have hate.....

And how would you know that? Have you, someone who did not attend Duke, taken every class at Duke?

Because the N&O only reported one area ACC school that cheated and specifically said some classes didn't have a syllabus and a professor, and it wasn't Duke or State.

Actually no.... This is a unc forum, but this thread is about my team, so I posted. Are there issues at unc? As a duke fan, i really don't care if there is or not. Still have to beat them on the field of play... it is the ultimate way to shut the opposition up.....

I don't feel better when I put the other team down. I'm still where I was to start with.

Not positive, but I don't think Zoubs EVER played against Lehigh!

ah - I'd wondered why he never went pro. He had a back injury. I had figured that with the domination he did on the boards for his senior year, and just being 7 feet tall, that someone would want him, at least in Europe. It makes sense now, knowing that he had an injury.
