RE: UNC #1 Grad
Y E Smith elementary school's most famous grad due to the many, many years he spent there in 4th grade: Halterest.
RE: UNC #1 Grad
Under the current "plan", it's a 3-Way Tie between:
UNC Alum/Morehead Scholar and head of SBI Roy Cooper (aka "The Coop")
UNC Alum/Morehead Scholar and ACC Commish John Swofford (aka "The Swoff")
UNC Alum/Morehead Scholar Wade Smith (aka the "Legal Eagle")
RE: UNC #1 Grad
I'd have to go with Maktar, McCants, Paige-Moss or M Austin. Granted they all were in bogus classes/programs so I don't know if they are technically graduates. Actually 90% of the fb & bb teams are in AA studies or Communications, so they are all bogus degrees.

This thread smells of
LEHIGH! roflolol
It still stings, we know.
RE: UNC #1 Grad
Well, since McCants, Paige-Moss and Austin all left school early, they are probably not considered grads. Maktar? Only two years at UNC would not qualify him to be the # 1 grad. Considering the recent press related to his death, I would suggest that Andy Griffith is probably the one most thought of at the present time.
As an aside, I imagine dook's is still Richard Nixon.

Yep, at least until the Olympics start..then it would be Jim Lampley.
RE: UNC #1 Grad
Hakeem Nicks is my choice. Either him or Marvin Austin. Both graduated with honors after their freshman years. Amazing, intelligent young men and that AA studies program was difficult to say the least.
RE: UNC #1 Grad
Michael Jordan and Mia Hamm among UNC athletes.
So many prominent UNC alums it's hard to know where to start.
(We have to share John Edwards with State.)

Funny, I never heard much about State and John Edwards during the NCAA hoops run in 2009. Seems like you UNC fans were real proud to claim all by your lonesomes back then.
